Joy DOS deal

I had a Nov 7th 2020 Joy cruise cancelled this week.  I called and booked the Joy for Nov 6th 2021.  When it was all said and done after a small casino comp, the 15% latitude discount and the 10% for the cancelled cruise we ended up paying just under $4400 a piece for 2 of us.  Some of this money was also in the form of the 25% extra from a cancelled May cruise.  The best part is the deposit is all from the 25% portion so no out of pocket money right now.  I think this was a good deal as the DOS has always been out of reach for us in the past.  We probably add 2 more to the room this week also bringing down the cost even more.

We have never stayed in a DOS.  We did a 2 bedroom 3 times.  What if any additional perks can we expect?

I am not bragging about the cost.  I just wanted to point out that there are some deals out there right now if you look.

That is a pretty decent price - normally for a DOS they are charging near double that on the new ships.

You get unlimited in room water and soda, 3 bottles of booze if a full week cruise, and that's pretty much it other than the newest ships have a fake fireplace.  You'll also get a real bottle of champagne but sometimes they will try to cheap out on that.

Sounds like a great price for such luxury!  I'm sure it will be worth every penny.

We were in the OS on the Escape in 2018 and it was one of the best experiences.  We felt like royalty (I'm sure the DOS experience is even that much better!).
