Spinner2 Posted October 9, 2020 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2020 What is the usual configuration on the veranda? On other classes if HAL ships we have found 2 loungers with ottomans or foot rests. A low table between and a dining-height table with 2 chairs. Looking at the deck maps it doesn’t look like there is that much room on the veranda, even at the Neptune level, except perhaps for the SA cabins aft on each side on 3 of the decks. I’ve read here that space is very limited on the deck 11 forward starboard/port two but what about the more numerous cabins along the sides? Interested in kneeing about SA ,SB,SC Thanks for your help. We love eating at the table and for that, the low drinks table doesn’t really work. CruiserBruce Posted October 9, 2020 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2020 There are SA suites only on deck 7. The cabins at the stern, on decks 4-8, are SB. They have much larger, wrap around balconies, but they don't have more furniture, IIRC. Yes, the SC's up on deck 11 have smaller balconies. Rare kazu Posted October 10, 2020 #3 Share Posted October 10, 2020 I think you are right. I haven’t been on the Pinnacle Class but looking at the cabins on halfacts dot com, it looks like the balconies are not very large. There is the lounge type set up you are talking about. You can see one HERE . There are more to see but it sure does look like the aft is the only decent sized balcony compared to the other classes of HAL ships in a NS. Mosaic Posted October 10, 2020 #4 Share Posted October 10, 2020 The SA balconies are very similar in size to other HAL ships. No loungers though. 2 "wider" chairs instead. Yes, there still is a table to eat at with standard type chairs. The SC balconies are tight just to sit on and you really cannot eat there. WisRiver Posted October 10, 2020 #5 Share Posted October 10, 2020 The SB balconies "the wraparounds" are large while the cabin is smaller. We had a round table, four chairs, two loungers and a couple of small "end" tables. We were a family group of ten, and the SB balcony held us all. We chose the SB for the size of the balcony knowing that it would be a long hike to the Neptune Lounge.
