Simple Question - I think.

We have another cruise book (hoping to go) for mid summer so it may.  The question, the cruise ends in New York City on a Wednesday at 9:00AM with a full day in New York (your allow to get off the ship) - you over night on the ship and depart home on the next day Thursday.  Do you clear US immigrations/customs on Wednesday when you arrive, if you do can you leave the ship anytime in the early morning on Thursday?

Thanks, that's what I would think, but wasn't really sure.
