sc4125 Posted December 8, 2020 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2020 I tried to do a search for this topic, but came up empty. I have another cruise scheduled for May on the Paradise (this is the second time rescheduling this cruise). Now I am hearing that Paradise will not be sailing until November 2021. I have not received an email from CCL and my PVP says that the May cruise is still on even though if you try to book a cruise all dates are blacked out until November. I can't re-book (getting the OBC) until the cruise is officially cancelled. The problem is that the cruise I would replace it with (good Casino rate/OBC) has to be booked before December 30th. Does anyone know how to get the "official" word so that I can re-book?
Rare MeganGC1983 Posted December 8, 2020 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2020 Is it scheduled for a dry dock? Unfortunately, there’s no way to get official cancellation notice until “they” are ready.

If I don't get the "official" email by the end of this month, guess I'll just have to wait for more casino offers - they are coming in hot and heavy right now. I just don't understand how they can have the dates blocked off and not tell us it's cancelled. Oh well...

The good news for you, if you wanna look at it that way, is “they” usually announce the cancellation a few days after they Gray it out. If history holds true, it should happen before your Dec. 30 deadline.
Rare shof515 Posted December 8, 2020 #5 Share Posted December 8, 2020 I think Carnival just removed the Paradises sailings from the website since they are still figuring out what happens when cruises resume sailing in the the next few months. I am booked on the Magic for June 2021 that was removed from the website a few weeks ago and so far there is no official announcement on what is going to happen to these sailings

NellieMae Posted December 9, 2020 #7 Share Posted December 9, 2020 I had this cruise scheduled for Dec 27th..now this was Cancelled a couple of Months ago because of " Drydock" so does this mean that it hasn't actually been in Drydock all this time? I'm just wondering (and I Am "Allowed" to wonder if the Excuse of "Drydock" is just that an Excuse)

This includes holding back the sailing of some ships until their next drydock is complete. The Paradise is one of the ship being held back. Although it has not yet entered drydock, Carnival does not plan to allow it to sail until it enters and completes the drydock.
ObstructedView2 Posted December 9, 2020 #9 Share Posted December 9, 2020 A decision has been made to postpone the drydocks which were planned for Carnival Valor, Carnival Magic and Carnival Paradise. In a statement, Carnival advised that it has cancelled cruises on Carnival Magic (up to and including the embarkation on Sept. 24, 2021), Carnival Paradise (up to and including the embarkation on May 31, 2021) and Carnival Valor (up to and including the embarkation on Sept. 11, 2021).
