Will cruises in Europe be the last to start up?

We are watching the weekly numbers from Italy, Greece, and France.   

 

The past week does not look good.  The numbers are going the wrong way.   

 

We hoped to be able to get a land trip going in late Sept or Oct.  Not so sure about this as the numbers are headed in the wrong direction.

Same. I hoped Europe would be a "go" by fall, but the slow vaccine rollout is not making me feel hopeful.

I would agree with you on this front.  What I also find interesting are that the case rates for Israel are remaining so high.  This I believe relates to the new widespread of the "South African" variant which seems to be better at defeating the vaccines protection.

Here are the current case rates for some of the major European tourist countries and Israel.  What is amazing is to think how low they were last summer in Europe compared to the current time!
