Gift Certificate Question

Happy Pre-friday CruiseCritic Fam!

 

Christmas of 2019 my wife and I were given an awesome gift of $500 for onboard credit for our Honeymoon cruise on Liberty of the Seas in August of 2020. Wellllllll, obviously that cruise didn't happen. We have since rebooked for August 2021 (Fingers crossed it goes, but if not we will be moving to the October sailing). I had called Royal and got the gift certificate applied to my previous sailing, and was told it would transfer to this new booking. It has been over 60 days since the new booking was made, and there is still no sign of the gift being applied. Is there something else I need to do or a point of contact I should be following up with? 

 

I have called them twice and they keep saying "it will be there" but I would hate to get on the boat and it NOT be there.

 

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

You have to call and ask for an amenity invoice.  It should be listed on there  It wil not show up on the regular booking invoice

We use ours (have several) and will apply them when my final balances are due.

Do you still have a copy of the gift certificate to check the # on it?

One time I gave my Mom a gift certificate for OBC for her Princess cruise which I had added to her account.  She told us there was no sign of it on board when she got on the ship. After much searching, it turns out they had attached it to someone else's account!!! Talk about stress tracking it down!😵
