@ORV and @ LHT28 Thank you for your posts.  Very helpful.

I think I am beginning to understand the  brand new (to me) Oceania cruise world!

Sometimes more complex  than required 😬

Thank goodness  for  a good TA

I asked about flights originating in Atlanta to Buenos Aires and back from either Lima or Santiago but I'm really going to be coming from Pensacola, FL. That isn't an option when I was signing up for the cruise. Does this change any options I might or might not have or do I have to get myself to Atlanta (or DFW or Charlotte, Miami, etc)?

Random Friday evening thought. Delta from Pensacola to ATL round trip is under 200. Come up that AM or night before. OK, you can do the drive in , what, 7 hours. However,, Ask them,, maybe they can accommodate?

I can assure you that I did not book my January 2022 Oceania cruise because of the Oceania air process.   I would say that I booked it in spite of their Air system.  Many other cruise lines do a much better job with the air.  I find it hard to believe that it is a competitive advantage in anyway.
I am glad it is easy to decline the air option.
