Planning a family cruise next year but the offers have me a bit irked.  Of the 4 cabins we need to book my husband and I are the only platinum cruisers and the only ones in our group who had 4 cruises cancelled. We also have the worst offers.  I’m talking a difference of 300 in room credits and 400 rate difference.  I’m going to ask that carnival sweeten my deal. Think I have a chance?

In my experience - not a chance. But you never know, it's certainly worth asking (I frequently do).

For my upcoming sailing, "free drinks while playing in the casino". I asked if I could pay an additional amount to have it converted into a full blown (ship wide) CHEERS. You could hear a pin drop as they probably rolled their eyes and shook their head. Of course, to have drinks anywhere on the ship to them likely means less time that I'd want to spend it with them (in the casino), so why on earth would that be something that they'd encourage!!

Not sure why but my last two offers include drinks everywhere on the ship.  Works for me, though that means we have to pay for my husband's specialty coffee.  Of course the $800 OBC (cancellation plus promo) should cover that!

You were correct. I got nothing except a promise that I could change my promotion if I get a better one before my cruise date.  She did find me a rate that was the same as everyone else but I got 300 less in room credit. I used a casino promotion with free drinks in the casino that I won’t use because I always get the cheers package. Oh well. Still excited to cruise. Jan. 2022!

Trying to figure out where we want to cruise in the " free suite "

Nice offer -- I'm guessing you've "shown them the money" in previous trips ! 🙂

I booked 1 plan now, play later for 2/12/2022. Another good offer, $1000 casino, $1000 OBC, open bar for me every where, balcony. I think I'm going to  book 2 more under that offer! All for $261.48 for port fees and taxes

I've only ever booked balcony rooms before. So I'm excited.

Max bet on the Gold slot machine did me good I suppose 🤣

Yes, the offers are really too good to pass up.  I wasn't planning on booking anything until things cleared up as far as restrictions and rules, fully expecting fares to be higher when cruising resumes.  I wound up booking several and feel like maybe I should add a couple more!

I used to get great offers - but I think that Carnival is catching on that (for the last 5 years) the only money I'm playing in the casino is their free play. Last time I turned $500 into over a $1,000.

I used to be a regular black chip player - occasionally purple. Now I pay for my cruises (nice cabins) and have less out of pocket!

I'm sure that situation is heading my way as well.  I lost my behind on the last one we went on, which was back in 2018.  I don't intend to repeat that experience, but I'll sure enjoy spending my 1k bank roll from them.  I also think once they get reliably sailing again, it's going to dry up.  I'm planning to grab the offers while they last though.  Dangit, got bit by a third yesterday.  Aft balcony Alaska "Plan now Play Later"?   Yes please!
