There is a call with travel agents tomorrow about Return to Service -- both on-board experience and what the line plans to do domestically at 4:15p.m. ET on Tuesday, with the sales director and the VP of Industry Relations from CLIA, so I'm hopeful! Hopeful enough that I just put a sailing on the Edge on hold for July 31.

Please keep us posted as to its highlights as I'm sure you won't be able to post the link here. But, if you eventually receive a link to its recording, please feel free to post it. 😎

After rereading your post, are the reps you referenced only from the CLIA to talk about startup cruises in general from US ports or specifically about what Celebrity is planning to do? Just trying to gauge my level of excitement.

It appears from the website that Celebrity have cancelled all European cruises this year apart from Silhouette round British Isles for UK residents. Could of course be an IT glitch. All showing as "Sold Out" and "selling unavailable"

At the same time they accidentally cancelled the new July British isles cruises and are now trying to reinstate them!

On celebrity.com it is still possible to book cruises from Italy departing in July, such as Infinity from Venice. Has it just not been adjusted yet or are they trying to fill up the cruises around Britain with UK residents by not giving them an option to look at other cruises?

This seems to be an IT bug that started occurring occasionally a couple of weeks ago when the .co.uk site was replaced entirely by .com/gb.  Pressing the browser refresh button normally results in the 100% sold out results being replaced with availability and prices.

My wife and I were booked on a July cruise on Princess (casino promotion) but unfortunately Princess has cancelled all their July sailings. I was really hoping to get back to sea and so I have been looking around for other options. I was pleasantly surprised to see that (as of this morning) Celebrity is still booking July cruises out of Florida. My suspicion was that those cruises have been cancelled but just not taken off the website, but from reading here that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm hesitant to book a cruise with Celebrity (never sailed with them) only to have my money tied up with what would then be three different cruise lines due to a number of cancellations over the last year.

Waiting as long as possible. More CSO updates are supposedly expected this week.

RCL is holding off on releasing COVID guidelines for Nassau cruises due to pending CDC guidance if that tells you anything.

Here's an article for those interested: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2021/05/17/royal-caribbean-expects-new-cdc-update-cruise-ship-protocols-week

I already think the protocol are pretty good (i.e., no masks outside and independent port exploration) so I'm interested to see what changes there are. I would think they would be even more relaxed than they are now.

My guess. Only a guess. They will drop the embarkation testing protocol (pretty much a given) and indoor masking guidelines will be relaxed. The cruise lines themselves want to let the CDC make that call even though they could likely do it themselves in these scenarios. Then if things go awry they can say even though the CDC has no bearing on these cruises, they are following standard protocol in their decision making.

Hi, I am asking this because you have a lot of informtaion in context.

Can you please shed light on how one should fill out the EHAS for St Marten?

Especially where it says How will you arrive: By Air? By Sea By Air-Sea?

We arrive on SXM by air, we are staying one night and the next day we leave for the cruise, so I would say "By Air". Is this correct?

On return we are staying one night as well.

I am assuming the "Sea and Air/Sea" options are for the yacht arrivals?

There is a thread on page 1 titled: Saint Martin EHAS form (Electronic Health Authorization System) - Help??

I think this has been answered there, and regardless it's a good thread to keep up with for the SXM sailings.

I predict you will be underwhelmed, so don't get too excited.

How are you first arriving on the island?  If on an airplane mark - air.  If by ship mark - ship.

I agree the whole procedure has been covered in its own thred.

Actually I'm now more interested in what the new CSO modifications are going to be that should be released later this week according to the RCCL Blog on FB. Must be pretty good to cause RCCL to hold off releasing the travel requirements and health protocols to their passengers on the Adventure of the Seas sailing out of the Nassau in less than a month. But who knows maybe the CLIA folks will give an advanced preview of what's to come to the TAs in attendance on the Zoom meeting later today.

From today's webinar:

CDC will now allow

-  B2B sailings

- vaccinated people do not need to wear masks inside or outside or social distance

- vaccinated people may now go ashore independently and follow local rules

They say don't worry about the contradictions between the Florida order and the requirement to be vaccinated to board.  They say solutions will be found.

The Marketing VP seemed to indicate that Celebrity will require guests to be vaccinated, it's simply the safest way.  Nothing official.

This is the big week for Alaska sailings, they hope to have a solution this week.  This is the make or break week.

Marketing VP indicated that the final return to sail schedule should be released within a week.

Galapagos sailings will resume in July

Thanks for the overview! Hopefully, what the VP said comes true and we'll find out this week if we're sailing this summer. Yay!!!

Beat me to it!

I appreciated what she had to say about wanting guests to feel safe when they board a Celebrity ship that the ship would have "herd immunity" for the duration of the sailing. And that also everything will be like February 2020 ... from shows and entertainment, to private dining, etc., all because of the vaccine requirement.

Looking forward to next week!

She didn't directly mention it but it sounds like they could potentially restart Edge and Equinox at the same time or close to it. I'm not booked, but if I was on one of those ships this summer I would feel more hopeful today than I have in a long long time.
