Sky Princess Mini Suites

We like the mini suites on Marina deck and we recently booked M422 on Enchanted Princess.  Easy walk up and downstairs to Lido deck and very close to the elevators.  Midship location with an angled extended balcony, so substantially larger than a standard balcony.  We love this location, but others will suggest lower decks are better.  Just depends on your own needs and preferences.  We love it!

Best would be the club class mini suites mid ship and with cabins above and below. There are some minis that are connecting cabins. You can find these on the Princess web site by checking the connecting cabin box. We avoid connecting cabins as you may hear some noise through the connecting door. There are also some club class mini suites all the way forward on decks 15 and 16 which have very large balconies and a forward view.

Keep in mind that Club Class mini suites are substantially more expensive than a regular mini suite.  You would need to decide if the extra price per person is worth it for the very limited upgrades you get in CC.

Did you have a foot stool on your balcony?  I've read that the Sky does not provide them.

Do not know about the Sky but on the Sky's sister ship the Regal we had one foot stool on our mini suite balcony.  The standard mini suite balconies on the Royal class ships are so narrow that the only way so use it was to sit sideways.  There is hardly room to sit facing straight out on the chair.  Had the room steward remove it.

This is why you really need to book one of the angled extended balconies instead of a regular mini.  We find these to be quite comfortable.  We used to book the forward facing minis with the huge balconies, but now prefer midship.  Just a matter of personal preference.

We booked a Lido deck mini and it was great!

The minis on aft Emerald deck appear to be slightly larger, but doubt its more than a foot or two deeper.

There are some irregular minis on Lido deck forward, but they only sleep 3 if you have a party of 4.

We were in a mini-suite on the Lido deck on a transatlantic on the Sky and we thought it was a great location with easy access to the pool area, bar, pizza, buffet, elevators, etc.  However, it is not conveniently located to the laundry rooms when you have to send your husband with a load of laundry to the other end of the ship.  There are always pros and cons to every location! My favorite part was opening the balcony door and listening to the ocean.  It was glorious!

Well of course that would be preferable but there's not enough of those for all of us!  😉
