What about the  celebrity cruise june 26 out of ft Lauderdale. That's before this one and also has cdc approval

I think the article states it's about first approval, not first approved sailing.

Galveston was proud to say it would have the first usa cruise, July 3rd. Then celebrity stole its thunder.

 

I guess they all wanted to say they were first for something
