Singapore a major cruise port in Asia and one that is making tentative steps to seeing the return of cruiseing,  so if you have a future trip planned to this vibrant city here are some ideas of what to see and enjoy including some recommendations.

great review.  Thank you.  We plan to be in Singapore May 13, 2022.  We will only have a short day there as we sail at 5PM and we are on a B2B.  Otherwise we would have flown in early as we do love that place.

An excellent overview with which we completely agree :).  DW and I have long enjoyed our time in Singapore (looking to go back in 2023).  We also appreciate it is among the safest large cities in the world where tourists can walk the streets anytime day or night.  Singapore also has an amazing reputation for having the safest food/drink in the world.   Taking advantage of the various "hawker" sites is a lot of fun and the food is often off the charts good.  Many years ago when we first went to Singapore there were areas of town full of sidewalk vendors.  The government, as part of their efforts to keep the city spotless, forced most of those street stands into various market/hawker sites which often have outdoor tables, bathrooms, etc.  A great idea and it makes it easy to sit down at one of those places and sample a huge variety of food (from the many stands).  For those who prefer Fine Dining there are plenty of world class restaurants in the city.

Hi, thanks for sharing your review.  The review of Bangkok was also great.  I am looking at two options for next Jan or Feb.  One leaves from Singapore and the other from Bangkok.  We will do a short land extension before boarding.  In your opinion, which city would you choose to depart from and spend more time in? The cruise leaving from Bangkok does a good overnight in Singapore, is also more expensive.  The one leaving from Singapore is with Celebrity and so the overnight would be exactly as you described in that review.

If you would have any insights here I'd love to hear them!
