EZ-Air Problem when trying to book

So I have been trying to book some seats on EZ-Air with Princess, and when I get to the book page it also asks for credit card information & billing.  This is for flexible fares so shouldn't have to input any credit card information?  Also am going to use some Princess gift cards from a cancelled Alaskan cruise from last year, no place to input that information in drop-down menu.  But I don't remember having to input cc information before on last time I booked Ez-air.  Anyone have this issue, or know how to resolve it?  I called into Princess specialist and she said to ignore all the red * blocks and scroll down to the bottom, 🤣, clearly she didn't know anymore than I did on how to resolve it.  Guess I will call back tomorrow to try and get a more knowledgeable person regarding EZ-Air.

Have you paid your cruise in full?

 

I had the same problem.  Princess offered a 10% discount for my cruise (2021) if I paid in full in advance of final payment.  I booked Flexible and had to pay for my flights since the cruise was paid in full.  I modified my booking price a few times.  Princess refunded the price difference.

 

I moved that paid cruise to 2022.  I booked the cruise with no perks, my agent is adding tips so the cruise will not be paid in full so I will not have the same problem as before.  I will see what happens when EzAir is available in July.

Yes, I did use that promotion as well last year for this 3/12/22 cruise for next year.  I finally got a more knowledgeable person yesterday to look into it and was told that is the reason.  But I really couldn't book the airfare last year because it was too far out, lol.  It would be fine if using a cc to make payment, still have gift cards to use for airfare.  I was told to pay with cc then wait 3 days, call back and have a charge back on the cc and give gift card information for payment.  Not sure I trust this process to go smoothly,  it took 6 months to get my original refund from my pandemic cancellation cruise.  Don't want $900 floating out there on my cc.  Think I will just wait it out and watch pricing, since I have some time before then.. Who knows what airfare will do in the next 6 months 😱.
