jhannah Posted February 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Excuse me if this link has been posted here, but I haven't seen it. These are wonderful pictures of the new Noordam. Stunning!
RedmondCruiser Posted February 14, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Thanks for the great pictures. Our family has many rich memories from the Noordam III and only hope to expirience the same on the new ship. I wonder if all the art work from the old Noordam was transferred to the new ship ? The main items that I hope were transferred are the figurehead that was in the Lido and the two full wood sculptures that were in the foyer outside the dining room. I hope that Thomson cruises did not inherit those items. anyone know ?
mrskmirolla Posted February 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Wow those are wonderful. I thought after the Zuiderdam I wouldn't want to go on another that size but she sure is pretty. Thank you for posting. Kathy

cruise44 Posted February 15, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Thanks for the pictures. I noticed the "re-angling of the stern has raised capacity, allowing for 35 additional cabins" has made the stern look like the sister class of the Costa Atlantica and the spirit class ships. RuthC Posted February 15, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Thanks for the link, Jim. Although she's too big for me I do think the interior is very pretty. I'm looking forward to seeing it "up close and personal" Friday.
Cruiseoften Posted February 15, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Like Ruth says, she's a bit big for our taste! Maybe we'll weaken and risk it - one of these days. Thank you so much for the wonderful pictures :)
sail7seas Posted February 15, 2006 #10 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I can't wait to see her in Boston......Looks like she is really beautiful. Of the four sisters, I think they may have 'saved the best' for last. :) Thanks for the link, Jim.

RevNeal Posted February 15, 2006 #14 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Thanks for the link, Jim. Although she's too big for me I do think the interior is very pretty. I'm looking forward to seeing it "up close and personal" Friday. Ruth ... I thought the Vistas would be too big for me too. And, frankly, they ARE larger than I would prefer. However, when you're aboard you don't really realize that it's so much larger than the S and Rs. The walk from stem to stern is a bit much ... but ... it's good for us to work off those extra chocolates. :) Who knows, after your tour on Friday you may find yourself thinking about trying out one of these lovely ships on a cruise. :D
