ultrafighter Posted June 22, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2021 I've been popping into the excursions periodically to check on FTTF for my Feb cruise, and I've noticed the number of excursions drop from like 131 to 126 to 118 to 115 now. I haven't been paying enough attention to try and pinpoint which ones, just the number at the top of the page. Has anyone else seen this in any of your itineraries? lubedobedo Posted June 22, 2021 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2021 Yes, I also check for FTTF for our May cruise and noticed less excursions than before. I wrote it down on 6/2 after I noticed number going down. Then it was 70 now it's 68. Seamed like it started with 90?
renza Posted June 22, 2021 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2021 Well no doubt. Many companies have gone out of business in all these islands with no tourist and ships coming in.

MSarahM Posted June 24, 2021 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2021 We are sailing on the Magic Aug 7, and ALL of the excursions are gone! I booked the cruise when it was the Elation back in May, and there were lots offered. As soon as it switched over to the Magic, they all went *poof*, even for their private island. Bummed about the FTTF going away too, but still excited to get on a cruise!
Robo1098 Posted June 24, 2021 #6 Share Posted June 24, 2021 There may be a number of reasons for excursions to go up and down. They may be putting some sort of rules for Covid on them or limiting numbers. They are looking into "bubble" excursions for unvax passengers as well. Some may be out of business as well. Rare BoozinCroozin Posted June 24, 2021 #7 Share Posted June 24, 2021 I suspect companies have gone out of business, some may shift to independent work, or other reasons. I think the situation is completely fluid.
helene109 Posted June 24, 2021 #8 Share Posted June 24, 2021 I wish more would appear for my August Mardi Gras!
ultrafighter Posted June 24, 2021 Author #9 Share Posted June 24, 2021 The possibility that they went out of business breaks my heart. I'm not made of money, but I'm looking forward to spending some in these ports as soon as I can get back there.
Elaine5715 Posted June 24, 2021 #10 Share Posted June 24, 2021 My guess is Carnival is requiring operators to sign contracts with COVID restrictions now and operators are refusing hoping to wait for loosening up
wemjam Posted June 24, 2021 #11 Share Posted June 24, 2021 We booked a cruise on the Sunrise mid August as soon as we learned she would be sailing (so just a couple weeks ago). Right after booking there were no excursions available so I was checking daily. I few days later excursions came up for Nassau, but as of yet there are still none for Half Moon Cay. I really want to snag a Cabana in HMC so I keep checking. Interesting the private island wouldn't have any, I would think that "bubble" would make them prime opportunities to make money and keep everyone safe.
