Are you using iphone?  IOS.

If so, latest MedallionClass App update

was 4 days ago, version 4.4.


You can go to the App store, look on the top right of the page it says UPDATE…

click on that to update the App.  This is on an iphone.  Don’t know about Android.

Arrivals (embarkation)

 

You can do arrivals about 59-60 days before.

Departures has never been implemented,

you can do that on the ship, with GS if you want a certain time.

I found it but the response is

 

'Departure groups will be available closer to the start of the journey'

 

Are you saying there will never be an opportunity to choose a departure group available on the App?

 

The app appears to offer much more than it can deliver.

 

I have been confused by the Activities Timeline

If you click on an activity are you choosing it definitely or just putting a reminder on your timeline?

I'd like to go to the Sail away  on the open deck but this shows as 150 guests  attending and apparently already full?

 

Am I interpreting all this correctly?

That headcount was an old Covid provision built into the App.  There is no pre-registration and limit for events and activities on board.  Of course there are theater and venue max capacity limits as ever, but you can ignore those count numbers.  There is going to be folks who don't bother setting up an activity in the App, but still go.  There is no limit on sail-away party on open decks.

As @Steelers36 said, don’t worry about the activities timeline.  You can use it as a reminder for sure. 

You know that Arrivals is your arrival time for the embarkation, right?  That’s what is functional on the App at the present time.  You can chose it about 59 days prior to sailing. Not strictly adhered to at this time, but may be in the future, who knows?

 

The Departure group is when you depart the ship (disembarking). That has not been functional yet.  Those times are still controlled by the ship, closer to the end of your cruise.

 

Just wanted to clarify, because you were talking about departure and sailaway in your questions.  Two different periods.

May be the most user unfriendly app I have ever encountered.  Took me 90 minutes to check in, mostly had difficulty with security photo.  Call to Princess was useless.  The same 90 minute adventure for my traveling companion as well.  Eventually got checked in, but horrible experience...

Security photo issue for me was the aspect ratio. However, on the last cruise they took a new one at the port.

They’ve been making changes to the payments section of the website and the App.  Hopefully, it will update soon on your end.  
Make sure your credit card looks correct on the App.

In general, you should be able to email any Princess employee using <first_initial><last_name>@PrincessCruises.com.  I have yet to know of any duplicates and IDK what they do in those cases.
