NCL Shareholder benefits payout question..........

I submitted my 1st request for shareholder benefits to NCL and my account was updated with the $100 onboard credit the next day. My question is to those that have used this benefit before. On my account it shows a $50 credit each for me and my son. As the only shareholder I thought the OBC would only go to myself. 

 

How has it actually been paid out in the past? TIA

They always divide it between the first 2 guests on the reservation

I own shares of NCL but have never requested this benefit as I did not know about it. Who do you contact to request it?  Are there any restrictions or conditions for it?  Thanks.

You need to own at least 100 shares.

Thank you, as my son doesn't normally spend any money onboard I'll have to get him to go to the casino at least once to use or extract it.

If you have a joint master account on board, everything gets billed to the primary.

Did you submit it online? If so, how? I thought you had to mail it in.

I have faxed ours in the past and it's usually credited to us within 24-48 hours.

I've always emailed it in, email address is on the form.  Usually a cover email with two attachments: the completed form, and a brokerage statement. 

 

The time it took to process varied a lot, in the past I've had to chase it up a lot. 

 

As others have mentioned, even through the credit is shown for each person, if you have a joint account on board it'll come out of the same pool of money, doesn't matter who spends it.  If you each have a separate credit card listed it might be different.

If all passengers in a cabin each own 100+ shares, do they each get the 50/100/250 OBC? Or just the primary passenger?

Whoa....I thought if multiple people owned 100 shared, they could also get the credit, even if in own stateroom???!!!!

I sent my form in via email and he credit showed up the next day.  Thanks for the help!  Very easy!!
