Cabin Drinks

We are going on Discovery on July 11th and i am getting really excited!!! This is our first Saga cruise  and we have 3 more booked.

Could anyone tell me if you can take spirits on board to drink in the cabin or can you buy bottles from room service as you can on most other lines.

Is it also possible to buy mixers for the cabin? I am assuming included drinks don't apply in cabins.

Yes you can take on spirits to drink in your room.

I seem to recall you can also take on your own wine to drink in the restaurant with no corkage fee. Maybe someone else will jump in and correct me if I'm wrong.

I cannot remember if you can just pick up a can of mixer from a bar as you can on other lines but I cannot believe they would be hard to come by.

As you have, in effect,  already paid for your drinks, I'm sure Saga will be more than happy for you to boost their profits by taking your own drinks on board!

Why not get your free G&T and take it back to your cabin?

Sounds like more trouble than spending Twenty quid on a bottle of gin.

We are the opposite,  we don't use the free drink in suite , prefer to drink in bars and on terraces like the atmosphere of other people.   Only time we use drink in room is on Cunard , where you get it free in room in QG but not in bars, so order a bottle of free bubbly each night (only prosecco but a nice one) and have it on balcony.

Probably true, but you still need to make sure you have ice, lemon, etc.
