I have tried.  I call Barclay and I even called the Buyatab.   Buyatab said they are not Princess and only sell their cards as well as others.   We'll see what Barclay arrives at.

  2.  Princess@Buyatab.com has replied below to contact you at giftcardsupport@princesscruises.com.

NOTES:
  • An acquaintance who purchased gift cards 2 months ago in May 2021, using her Princess Rewards Barclay Card Visa, earned double points  -- with the merchant listed as Princess Cruises.

We earned double points in the past...disappointed this time.  Princess gets our money but they found a way to skirt around giving us the points.

How long are the cards good for?

My reissued cards + new $500 cards do not expired.  My $50 bonus cards expire May 1, 2022 but are already applied to August and December 2021 cruises

The offer expires 7/12/21 & here’s the Gift Card webpage link. If you purchase a $500 card (no expiration) you get a $50 bonus card (expires 5/1/22) and both can be used to pay for your cruise or added to your onboard portfolio to spend during a cruise. Booking through a 3rd party you contact them to make payments.

In the email I received it states that it’s limited to one promotional gift card however me & others in this thread purchased more cards & received $50 promotional cards for each $500 purchased. I sent this info to my AAA Travel Agent. I don't know how hard she'll "fight" for me to get more than one gift card, since this is the first time I'm using her.

My previous TA moved out of state, so my file was transferred to another agent.

I'm curious, did you go through a TA, or did you work with Princess directly?

I hope I'm able to get them! 🙏

It will really help a lot, since I always have to pay DOUBLE being a solo/single cruiser.

You could have purchased the cards yourself and just passed them off to your TA.

I've told Princess previously I hate that I can't control my own booking, since it's MY money.

I just purchased 4 - $500 gift cards yesterday and received the $50 bonus for all 4, no problems at all. I'm anxiously waiting to see if those that used their Princess Rewards Visa's got their issue resolved with the double points that were awarded in the past.

The gift cards are not purchased through a person,  it's just a website that you buy them through. You don't deal with any individuals. You can buy them yourself and give them to your TA.  .  You purchase them to either hold or apply to a booking.

I use a TA and directly purchased all of our gift cards through the webpage I posted & within minutes had confirmations & gift card emails (went to my Junk folder)…buy them directly & not through your TA.

 

Some had to contact their charge card company if the purchase didn’t go through but I didn’t have that problem. It does not show as a purchase from Princess Cruises but from the company they hired to sell the gift cards: Buyatab.

I wish I would have known this before I contacted my TA.  If I don't hear back from her by the time I get home (I have a dental appointment today) I'll contact Princess.

Is there a link I use to purchase them? The link that was given me about the gift cards, only has info, it doesn't tell you HOW to purchase them. But then again, I'm not the best on a computer!

Yes. Mine was charged as "Buyatab-Pr" which is why USAA flagged it. But I cleared it
