Oasis Class, 6th floor stateroom (yea or nay)

Has anyone stayed in a stateroom on the 6th floor of an Oasis class? My wife and I are sailing on the Oasis and have an interior stateroom on the 6th floor, near the promenade. I think our room is directly above Boleros. Just wondering if anyone has stayed near this area and has any feedback to share about their experience. Is it convenient to the nighttime entertainment? Does the music and atmosphere from the promenade come through the walls/floors? If so, does the convenience outweigh the loud music? Should we request a different floor?

We have been on Oasis Class on deck 6 a couple of times.  Not in the last 18 months, so not sure exact room #s.  On that class, deck is handy to anything on the Boardwalk.  we have never had issues from entertainment venues being noisy in our room.  Our only cruise stateroom noise issue was a VERY loud family next door , whose family discussions (not arguments) came thru the connecting doors.  At least it happened during daylight hours, so not really an issue.  We had a 8th floor Boardwalk balcony right next to Dazzles on the Oasis and the only sounds we heard from the Balcony was the Merry-go-round.

We hope to be back on Oasis in September.  We really miss cruising!

OP...if available opt for a location with cabins above & below you...Why take a chance if you don't have to...cause once your there no changing your mind...better safe than sorry.

We had a guarantee cabin on our first Oasis cruise and was assigned deck 6 and loved it.  Just paid for an upgrade from a central park balcony to an ocean view balcony and opted for deck 6 again.  Love being so near the promenade, boardwalk and central park casino as well if thats your thing.

IMO always safest to have cabins above and below.  Surely not over or under any nightclub or theatre.  Best to move your cabin.  You cannot predict that you will have great neighbors, but if they are truly awful, I would go to guest relations as you might be able to get moved.

Our last cruise (NCL Encore) the cabin was over a specialty restaurant so I figured no chance of noise late at night. Boy was I wrong! Directly under us was the galley for that restaurant and the cleaning crew deep cleaned the exhaust hood grates every night and it was constant banging and loud music playing while they worked. We complained night after night but it didn’t stop. I ended up sleeping in the observation lounge one night. They finally found us another cabin to move to mid-cruise.

We were on Harmony Feb 2020 and had an ocean balcony room 6668.  It was basically across from the aft elevator lobby and entrance to The Boardwalk.  We never heard any noise once inside the cabin, wouldn't hesitate to pick this room again.
