Cancellation Policy?

We booked our October 2021 Med cruise back in January and paid a £100 deposit. 
We are unfortunately going to have to cancel the cruise due to medical reasons. We have looked at cruises in 2022 but nothing appeals so we will just cancel our current booking. 
Do we need to contact Princess or do we just not pay the balance which is due on July 24th?

We understand that we will not be refunded for the £100 deposit we have already paid.

I am sorry that you need to cancel, especially for health reasons.

 

I would reach out to Princess to cancel. As for your deposit, at least in the US, if you cancel prior to final payment, you do receive your initial deposit back in most cases, so you may be able to get a refund.

When you booked the cruise in January was it a non-refundable deposit?  If it was you are more than likely out of luck to get the deposit back. However it can not hurt to call and see what may happen.

UK is different from US & Canada. Call Princess

You certainly don't have anything to lose by calling Princess and asking them. Since UK rules are different from US and Canadian rules, any of us not from the UK really don't know the answer. Also, Princess may have different policies for 2021 than they had pre-pandemic, so even someone with UK pre-pandemic experience may not even know current policy.
