Our experience last week on Star Breeze was that Windstar took on the responsibility for mid-cruise testing if required by the ports of call.  Windstar also provided the testing as we returned to Sint Maarten, which served the dual purpose of covering us for our return flight back to the USA.  In all cases, it was a nasal swab, antigen test.

Thanks.

Followup question. When does WS do the disembarkation tests? We arrive in port on 11/24 and depart for the US on 11/27. If they test the morning of arrival we would just need their test. If it’s the night before we’ll need a second one.

The tests are performed between 8:00 and 10:00 AM the day prior to port arrival.

Thanks. That’s not the news I was hoping for. I guess we can use the WS test for the hotel and either find a site in Lisbon or do the home test thing. We’ll have a couple days to do this.

Why do we need the test WS is selling?  It seems like they’re covering everything including the disembarkation test?

My discussions with Windstar onboard indicates their provision of the test is linked to whether the port of call requires them to conduct the test as part of their port entry requirements.  If the port does not require it, you may be responsible.
