now speaking pre Covid. I loved FTTF.  We had it on the pride in 18'.   We were able to get on right away and disembark when we wanted to.  however, the two best parts..... 1.  your own line at CS and 2.  first tender boats to HMC.   (#2 was the main reason)

Good deal! Sailing on the Horizon again next April and hope it opens back up by then! Thanks!

You should be fine by then. They're cancelling it during the restart and trying to stick with assigned boarding times. Diamond and Platinum are offered check-in 2 days before others to get first boarding slots.

On my October booking the FTTF excursion is listed but is sold out. I’m stalking it just as I would have pre-COVID to see if any come available. I was hoping that with today’s announcement we might hear about the future of FTTF. I may be wasting my time, but I will be so happy to snag one on the off-chance they bring it back by October!

Yes, I have had to stalk it every time until a few more slots would open up. I do finally get them though, thank goodness! If not this time, then we will be happy just to get on another ship again!

I guess FTTF people will hate me for this but I hate FTTF and think it is just another way for Carnival to charge people for something that costs them nothing.

As soon as they realize they can charge some people more money for something that costs them no more they will start with other things, such as:

* Pay extra for early dining

*Pay extra to view early show

*Pay extra for a guaranteed seat at the comedy show

*Pay extra to get your luggage delivered to your room sooner

*Pay extra to use the Platinum line at guest services

*Pay extra to use the Speedy line at Guy's or the Pizza place.

*Pay extra to get your Platinum card at your first cruise.

I thought most folks liked the whole ship within a ship concept? This is just a natural continuation of that. Pay more for your cruise, get more for your cruise. How much a passenger spends can be just as important to the bottom line as how many times passengers show up. It lines up especially well with the ship within ship concept that many cruisers espouse as being awesome. Not so much on an every-man/woman line but people vote with their wallets. They're giving the people what they want, good Ol' class status is back, much to the delight of many. Everyone wants to feel special and have "status" over others. Why give it away when you can sell it and people will buy it? Profiting off ego makes a lot of sense (and dollars) to me.

I was able to purchase FTTF for our Sunrise cruise in October. I’ve used it in the past and only ever really found helpful on embarkation. But I still think it’s worth it to be able

to board sooner and start enjoying the fun.

I was able to purchase FTTF for our October sailing. We will see how it goes, how is it being handled now for current sailings?

For current sailings, they have been cancelled. We bought FTTF way back in January for our Aug. 21 sailing on the Vista. Back in mid June, or maybe a little after, we got an email saying that FTTF has been cancelled for that sailing, and we'd be refunded the full amount back to our original form of payment(credit card). We received the refund about 2 weeks later.

Lovers of FTTF don't hate the non-believers. You do your cruise your way, we will do ours. I like it, I also like a balcony rooms, a night in the steakhouse, gambling in the casino and Cheers, all extras not everyone participates in. No one is right or wrong with what they like for their cruise experience. As long as it doesn't affect your experience who cares?

I purchased it several months ago for our Sept 13th cruise and so far they haven't cancelled it. I expect they will soon though.

We have it for our Sept 18th cruise and I'm curious if they will still let us use it?  Our luggage tags still show FTTF.

I would say no.  They likely will be cancelling it on your and issuing a refund.  Right now at least until the end of of October, all the current protocols apply and this means timed entry for everyone and no faster to the fun.

Which is the way it should be...People today think "Why earn privileges when i can buy them"
