Heelyeah30 Posted July 19, 2021 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2021 This may have been answered several times, but is FTTF gone for good? I've used it several times and loved it every single time. Thanks in advance for your input!
ScottsSweetie Posted July 19, 2021 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2021 There's really no way to know how anything will be operating past October 31 at this point.
kdr69 Posted July 19, 2021 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2021 No its not gone for good just for the immediate future due to boarding protocols.
Heelyeah30 Posted July 19, 2021 Author #4 Share Posted July 19, 2021 Good deal! Sailing on the Horizon again next April and hope it opens back up by then! Thanks!
Oletruckdude Posted July 19, 2021 #5 Share Posted July 19, 2021 I purchased it several months ago for our Sept 13th cruise and so far they haven't cancelled it. I expect they will soon though.
stellarose Posted July 19, 2021 #6 Share Posted July 19, 2021 now speaking pre Covid. I loved FTTF. We had it on the pride in 18'. We were able to get on right away and disembark when we wanted to. however, the two best parts..... 1. your own line at CS and 2. first tender boats to HMC. (#2 was the main reason)

You should be fine by then. They're cancelling it during the restart and trying to stick with assigned boarding times. Diamond and Platinum are offered check-in 2 days before others to get first boarding slots. Edited July 19, 2021 by mondello Correction
cruisehappyinJune Posted July 19, 2021 #8 Share Posted July 19, 2021 On my October booking the FTTF excursion is listed but is sold out. I’m stalking it just as I would have pre-COVID to see if any come available. I was hoping that with today’s announcement we might hear about the future of FTTF. I may be wasting my time, but I will be so happy to snag one on the off-chance they bring it back by October!

I do finally get them though, thank goodness! If not this time, then we will be happy just to get on another ship again!
tallyho8 Posted July 19, 2021 #10 Share Posted July 19, 2021 I guess FTTF people will hate me for this but I hate FTTF and think it is just another way for Carnival to charge people for something that costs them nothing. As soon as they realize they can charge some people more money for something that costs them no more they will start with other things, such as: * Pay extra for early dining *Pay extra to view early show *Pay extra for a guaranteed seat at the comedy show *Pay extra to get your luggage delivered to your room sooner *Pay extra to use the Platinum line at guest services *Pay extra to use the Speedy line at Guy's or the Pizza place. *Pay extra to get your Platinum card at your first cruise. 1
cruisingguy007 Posted July 19, 2021 #11 Share Posted July 19, 2021 (edited) No, it's not! The big bonus is that It peeves the diamonds and platinums off that they have to mix with the unwashed masses lol. That's worth the price of admission alone. I thought most folks liked the whole ship within a ship concept? This is just a natural continuation of that. Pay more for your cruise, get more for your cruise. How much a passenger spends can be just as important to the bottom line as how many times passengers show up. It lines up especially well with the ship within ship concept that many cruisers espouse as being awesome. Not so much on an every-man/woman line but people vote with their wallets. They're giving the people what they want, good Ol' class status is back, much to the delight of many. Everyone wants to feel special and have "status" over others. Why give it away when you can sell it and people will buy it? Profiting off ego makes a lot of sense (and dollars) to me. RoxanneD Posted July 20, 2021 #13 Share Posted July 20, 2021 I was able to purchase FTTF for our Sunrise cruise in October. I’ve used it in the past and only ever really found helpful on embarkation. But I still think it’s worth it to be able to board sooner and start enjoying the fun.
ProgRockCruiser Posted July 20, 2021 #14 Share Posted July 20, 2021 I've procured FTTF for our Sept cruise. Even on the luggage tags I've already printed! Never had it before, thought we'd give it a whirl.

Back in mid June, or maybe a little after, we got an email saying that FTTF has been cancelled for that sailing, and we'd be refunded the full amount back to our original form of payment(credit card). We received the refund about 2 weeks later.
azkimski Posted July 20, 2021 #17 Share Posted July 20, 2021 Our November sailing is sold out, or that is what is saying, but seeing that it is being offered to some of you I am going to keep my eyes open and fingers crossed:)
Can'tWait2SetSail Posted July 20, 2021 #18 Share Posted July 20, 2021 Lovers of FTTF don't hate the non-believers. You do your cruise your way, we will do ours. I like it, I also like a balcony rooms, a night in the steakhouse, gambling in the casino and Cheers, all extras not everyone participates in. No one is right or wrong with what they like for their cruise experience. As long as it doesn't affect your experience who cares?
Quagmire789 Posted July 20, 2021 #19 Share Posted July 20, 2021 We have FTTF for our cruise in October. I asked on John Heald's page today about the status and was told by Jacinta that no decision has been made for October.
Aussie65 Posted July 20, 2021 #20 Share Posted July 20, 2021 I have FTTF on sept 12 on the Pride from Baltimore, I would love if Carnival would make a decision and let us know if it is going to be available or if we will get a refund.

asalligo Posted July 20, 2021 #22 Share Posted July 20, 2021 No way it is gone for good. I would stake anything on that bet. FTTF is pure profit for Carnival. Taking in $100 for no expenditure on their part was the best money maker they ever came up with.

Right now at least until the end of of October, all the current protocols apply and this means timed entry for everyone and no faster to the fun. FloridaMommyof3 Posted July 20, 2021 #25 Share Posted July 20, 2021 It's being offered on my 9/9/21 cruise on the Magic. I'm passing on it this time but I do usually get it.
