Stopped in the casino to see which of our favorite slots they had. Decent sized casino for a cruise ship.

 

Also got some pics of the tables to aid my memory of what games are available. I'll post the lot of them once I also figure out the table minimums so I can knock out the casino questions all at once.

M and I played a round of pacman in playmakers (she won 3-2) then I grabbed a coffee from cafe promenade to get some pep in my step.

 

Then we headed to the star lounge for some name that tune trivia. We did pretty bad 5/15 but it was all in fun.

 

All caught up. It is now 7 and we should be sailing away any minute now. Gonna maybe head up to the top deck for that and then we have reservations at chops at 8.

Thanks for taking us along on your cruise. Could you please check out the fitness center and let us know what it's like now? As far as I can tell from the deck plans, they changed it with the last refurb. I'm wondering if they took out the nice locker rooms with the separate steam/sauna facilities--afraid they have, that seems to be the way they are going now. Pictures would be great if you have the time. Thank you!

Sail away was a little rainy but not so bad that I couldn't stand outside.

After sail away we headed to chops for dinner.

 

For apps I ordered the shrimp cocktail and the black pepper bacon.

 

Both were excellent.

I also ordered a pink grapefruit sparkle which I did not care for.

 

For my entree I got the filet mignon which I forgot to get a pic of until I started eating. Amateur move.

 

M ordered the same and I really hate to be critical but they were not good quality meat. Not at all what I would consider filet quality.

 

They were very apologetic and wanted to make it right but we were both full.

 

If I was paying $50 I would probably not recommend but I would still give them another chance because maybe it was an off night. 

 

We have reservations again the last night and again the staff wanted to make it right so great job in that front.

After dinner I headed to the cafe promenade for another pick me up. 

 

Now I'm off to the casino. I have an erratic method. If I'm not winning I move machines quick and often. I also bet big compared to my bankroll so I also run the risk of not playing long.

I have never seen a video poker machine like that one. It automatically held your cards for you. Interesting as the house makes more money if you dont play by the book. It did give you the option to choose what you held. Either way it wasn't paying and I'm not on house money any longer.
