Car rental: Sixt Downtown Miami moved?

I noticed (to me without any notice or at least very quietly) Sixt changed and moved their Miami downtown branch to the Intercontinental as of last week? 

 

Old:

330 SE 1st St. Miami

 

New:
100 Chopin Plaza, Miami (that's the adress of the Intercontinental)

 

Almost anything links or redirects to the Chopin adress, they even lifted the Google reviews from the old adress by updating the adress. 

 

We've always enjoyed using the SE 1st street location, curious if their new space will be better. Might be a downgrade to just a hoteldesk..? We kinda liked the smaller atmosphere, most of the times it was sufficient enough, friendly staff and a convenient (small) parking garage next door!

Alamo had a rental car desk at the Intercontinental which I have used before and I believe is now gone. Chances are high that Sixt no longer needed the office and pay the high rent and were able to get a desk on the main floor of the Intercontinental. They probably took over the space from Alamo.

..which would mean from 3 or 2 desks to 1? Hmm.. in that case not so sure if Sixt still is my preferred rental company for pre and post cruise in Miami! Thanks for the info!

I worked in the building that Sixt was in previously.  We were told for the past 10 years that it's going to be torn down.  They would get much more space at the Intercontinental and more convenient getting in and out as far as car rentals.
