DISFANS3 Posted August 11, 2021 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2021 Can we use the Rapid Diagnostic Test from Walgreens to Qualifying to Board? Or does it have to be the Rapid Antigen Test? The Rapid test I can get back next hour. The Antigen test takes 3 - 5 days to return. Hope to be on the Allure in Sept.

Hope to be on the Allure in Sept. we did the rapid antigen test at our local Urgent Care center and had the results in 15min. It was the PCR test that was going to take days. You can get the rapid antigen test at most Walgreen's and CVS Minute Clinics - the results should be available in less than an hour for each. Walgreen's seems to be more focused on the PCR/NAAT tests which can take 2-5 days for results. CVS seems to focus more on the rapid tests. Both the rapid test and the PCR test are antigen tests - the difference is in the level of sophistication and process complexity required to produce results. Probably the thing we miss the most since the start of the pandemic is spending the day fishing at Smyrna Dunes park.

It looks for RNA fragments (not if you actually are infected with covid)
