Just thought I'd update this board with good news of the boarding of Queen Elizabeth today taken from one of my facebook groups...

Well I’ve arrived, everything was in my favour this morning ,from arriving at the Mayflower Covid centre( at 11.45) to dropping my car off with CPS ( at12.15) by the time I walked into Ocean terminal I receive the Text I was waiting for ......Covid test negative ! Once inside ocean terminal I was escorted to the check-in for a quick check over of my paper work .....AND ! I believe I was the 12th passenger to board at 1pm .....to a welcome of a line of Bell Boys , Senior Cunard Management, Housekeeping ,Waiters etc etc ,Clapping .

The Queens Grill didn’t do lunch but instead did afternoon tea 1330 through 1600. Interestingly PG, Britannia Club and Britannia all did afternoon tea in their respective restaurants 1330-1600.  No drill but you had to go to assembly point for your key card to be scanned.  No life jackets. Am told ship 65% full but this will be ramped up progressively to full capacity in November..  I was also told masks might be phased out in September.  Lifts max capacity of four - one in each corner!

Live from QG balcony with champers in sunny Southampton docks!  We’ve waited a long time for this.  Someone asked about QG.  We have an assigned table for two with no bookings required each day which we can go to as we like.  Elsewhere there had been a suggestion there would be no assigned tables in QG.

Totally, and utterly, jealous.

Enjoy, 😀

We were supposed to have disembarked today.  It's very hard not to be jealous but I'm so glad others will enjoy  QE which at the moment, IS Cunard. 🙂

Next week we will be embarking….fingers crossed and we can’t wait to be back on board the beautiful Queen Elizabeth.

it’s our first time in Princess Grill so any comments on the Grills will be much appreciated.

Hope you have a wonderful cruise 😀

Easy to understand why some folk are jealous and  'green' with envy, particularly when they have 4 or 5 Cunard cruises booked and, for what ever reason, missed the showcase return this evening.

Thankfully I didn't have all my eggs in one basket and, with a little luck, will be 'on the water' this time next week. 😉

I thought they weren't allowing back to back cruises. Anyway, last week's cruise was cancelled, so I now have to wait until next May. I'm only jealous because I love Cunard. Alas, I can't afford to have several cruises booked. But I shall enjoy your cruise vicariously.

Interesting.

Hopefully, the QG assigned tables with no need to book, will continue.  Have a super cruise. 🙂

We love Cunard too and like you, I shall enjoy vicarious cruising. We’ve all waited so long for the company to get back to cruising and I hope some of the lucky passengers will give us a flavour of their experiences.
