Thanks for taking us along!  We are booked for an 8 night in Feb.  I’m wondering if anyone can help…I’m trying to figure out for an ocean view balcony, if the bed is by the bathroom or balcony.  For cabin 7524.  Any help is appreciated!!

My guess is the sofa is by the balcony. Bed is by bathroom.

I just realized you are Canadian Disney Mom! Hope you have a fabulous cruise, we got off yesterday. I met Chris Wong in the casino, and casino host Miha gave us Club Royale baseball hats and Tshirts. Unfortunately I did not do well on slots, but I did see several people hitting jackpots. Hope you have great luck playing.

Thanks!  Yup that is me.  I changed my handle last week. I hope we have great luck too.  Sorry that you did not 😕

It is ok, we had a great cruise and will be back next month. Good luck on your Royal  Up bid, sadly, none of my 6 bids (from GS to a Royal Loft Suite) were accepted, I got 6 reject emails the night before the cruise. I had originally upgraded my comped Indy balcony cabin to a Junior suite, so I had a nice JS on Odyssey. Will try and find pictures to show. Our JS was a J4 I think, and we had the split bathroom setup. The Junior suites are lovely.

The bathroom reminds me of the way they were on our Disney cruise.  We had a standard Oceanview cabin I believe.  I think they are all like that on their ships. Very convenient when getting ready in the AM!

Sorry I am not sure but if you do not get an answer before next week I will do a drive by in the late morning when they should be cleaning cabins or on turnover day after the 1st cruise and see if I can grab a peek 🙂

Our “guess” is bed by the bathroom, but cannot verify 100%.  If you have time and see the door open, that would be great!  Appreciate  your help!  Good luck on your bid for an upgrade!!🤞🤞

Time to start packing tonight!

I have had a couple of packing cubes sitting in my closet for years.  They came with a luggage set we bought years ago that we do not even have anymore.  I have never felt the need for them before but decided I will use them this time because we are gone for so long with limited laundry access so will need more clothes than normal.  I also went ahead and bought some more on Amazon. This is what I bought (do not worry I did not pay anywhere near what they are listed for!). This will be the most organized I have ever been I think.

Wimaha Travel Compression Packing Cubes Set, Extensible Storage Mesh Bags, 6Pcs Polyester Travel Clothes Organizers Luggage Cubes with 1Pc Laundry Bag, Water-Resistant, Multiple Sizes, Grey Red : Amazon.ca: Clothing, Shoes & Accessories

I have also decided to join the magnetic hook train after many years of not having them and finding hats, purses, and swim suits strewn all over the room. Lots of people on here rave about how handy they are so I took the plunge.  These are the ones I bought.  Hopefully they are strong enough!

Neosmuk Magnetic Hooks, 22 lb+ Heavy Duty Earth Magnets with Hook for Refrigerator, Extra Strong Cruise Hook for Hanging, Magnetic Hanger for Curtain, Grill (Silver White, Pack of 10) : Amazon.ca: Tools & Home Improvement

I was watching a Youtube video a week or so ago of a 6D cabin walkthrough on the Odyssey.  The video showed a fan attached to the ceiling which I thought was a great idea.  I commented on the video to find out if the fan came with the magnets attached and the Youtuber replied that it was just a small fan attached to the ceiling with magnetic hooks.  I sleep with a fan running basically year round so wanted to give it a shot but Paul does not see the need.  I thought I would share it here in case any of you who would find something like that useful.  Maybe it is a common thing, but I had never seen it before.  Here is a screen grab from the video:

Thanks for sharing that! I will just have to learn to be patient I guess 🙂. Did everyone get their bids accepted that you know of?

Very doubtful since the grand suites and higher are limited in number.  If you’re in an inside cabin and bid on a balcony, I would think you’d get it.

I tried to reply earlier but I have been having issues posting and accessing threads for a few hours.

I know not “all” bids will be accepted, but I was curious what they were seeing with the small sample of their group.  I am in a balcony and bid on a few different suite options.  🤞🤞

My name is Jessica (Jess or Jessy works too) (45) and my husband Paul (46) and I will be travelling from Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.  You may have stopped here as a Port of Call on a NE/Canada Sailing.  We actually just moved into a 1600 sq. ft condo in the city from a 3600 sq. foot house in the suburb of Quispamsis last fall.  It has been an adjustment.  Our condo is actually directly across the street from the cruise terminal here so if you did stop here on a cruise, you will definitely have seen our building. Here it is for reference.

I am looking forward to finally having some ships block my harbourview next Spring/Summer.

We lived in Rothesay in the 80's, my kids went to Rothesay Park. Loved the town of Quispamsis, and it was fun to say.

If you CAN say it 🤣 It is always fun to hear people try when I would have to call and speak to someone at a 1-800#, etc. They never get it right.  Almost as good as Kennebecasis 🙂

Not sure when you were here last but it has grown a lot.  Quispamsis/Rothesay now has 2 McDonald's and 3 Tim's 🤣

Would be great if he's there in October. He's one of my all time favorites.

I don't remember if I have had him before.  Was he one of the ones that was doing the podcast? I forget the name of it at the moment.

Thanks for doing this, @JessyCruises! I am really looking forward to following along with you on your Odyssey! 😃🛳

I know you said you weren’t planning excursions, but I’m wondering if, after the itinerary changes, your cruise planner was updated to accurately reflect the changes. On our September 12 Allure cruise, Labadee and Falmouth were eliminated and replaced by Cozumel and Costa Maya, and the order of our ports was completely changed. I now have excursions in cancelled ports showing up on sea days, and while our cruise planner shows excursions in Costa Maya, they are actually excursions that take place in Falmouth! As a compulsive planner, this is driving me crazy 😜! I’m really trying to be patient, it’s just not working very well! 😂

I believe they did eventually, although I was really not paying that much attention because we were not planning excursions. I know the most recent change was the swap of Falmouth for Coco Cay which we got emailed about on 8/10/21.  The Coco Cay stuff was finally available in the cruise planner today for that sailing so it took 6 days.

I feel you about the compulsive planning.  My brain has been on overdrive for days about what to do for wifi for week 1.  I really hope that we get that grand suite so it makes my life easier LOL
