Super low prices on Mardi Gras particularly 09/11/2021

I'm seeing $100 balconies on the Mardi Gras for Sept 4, 11 and 18.  Wowza!

My August 7 sailing on Mardi Gras was chock full of casino rates passengers. Still I would expect this autumn will offer epic, possibly historic, low rates for Mardi Gras.

Yesterday after reading this thread I went to the Carnival site and did a mocking booking for the 9/4 sailing on the MG and sure enough DW and I could have booked a 7 day in a Cove balcony on deck 5 for less than $1100.  That was with taxes, prepaid gratuities, and vacation protection included.  

 

We didn't book it but that offer was there under my VIPF offer.

 

P.S. we are NOT hardcore gamblers at all.

Definitely no good rates for us, par for the course.  We now have 3 cruises booked but a couple months ago when we had only one cruise booked, we looked into booking a big family cruise for next year.  One son and a nephew were seeing crazy good rates, not us.  Due to some odd circumstances, the big cruise is now only going to be us and our two sons and their families.  Our oldest son (who hasn't cruised since 2007) got a crazy good rate with OBC.  Our other son (who last cruised on Carnival on his honeymoon in 2019 and had two cancelled since due to the shutdown) got a rate similar to us but got $500 OBC.  We got a rock - no OBC.  LOL

I did get cheers no obc first leg of breeze. 2nd leg I got 12.50 obc. .. 500. Sounds awesome lol first time I saw 12.50

 

Rcl has some crazy low solo rates calling my name. Wish I could fit in more. Feb 6 solo inside is down to 481.50 this morning including 110 taxes. Balconys at 700 ish. Wow sale with obc ended at midnight but solo rates didnt. I'm loyal to the best deal which is rcl right now. Early jan is cheap solo rates too jan 23. They just recently announced oct protocols and seeing a new wave of cancellations. 

 

Both my carnival cruises vista and breeze are at least $300 more than what rcl is offering. My crystal ball was broke or I wouldnt have booked breeze.

Wife and I are booked on the Mardi Gras 4 Sep sailing for under $1,200 in a Spa Balcony room all in (room, taxes, insurance, prepaid gratuities). We upgraded the offer that we got from the Carnival Player's club and we've only been on Carnival once and aren't big gamblers at all. The offers came right to our e-mail.

I don't think you have to be a hardcore gamer to get these rates. My wife and I spend less than $200 in the casino each cruise and we are seeing these rates as well. I have no idea how they qualify people into these rate tiers.
