Anthem OTS, JS Lavazza espresso machine

Hello,

There is much mention on these boards about the Junior Suites having a Lavazza espresso machine.

However no-one has said which sort. For reasons best known to them Lavazza has produced two different versions: The 'Blue', and the 'A Modo Mio' and the capsules seem incompatible (as they are sold separately).

Can anyone advise which version it as so I can board suitably prepared?

Regards,

Based on my unscientific view, looks like Blue.

Unfortunately, all I can find for retail is a minimum of 50 pods

Not sure I would bother bringing anything on board as you could have anything in any particular cabin at any time.

Yes, but apparently they charge $1 for refills😉

That's not a deal breaker for me because they cost around 60 cents in bulk

Not our experience Jan 31, 2022. All the coffee pods I wanted (Decaf or regular) for free. There was fine print in the instructions that tea & other types (hot chocolate perhaps) were $1

They left as many as we needed on our last suite cruise. We never ran out.

It was an early complaint from last fall

We got extra on Symphony because Laura commented to concierge that espresso machine didn't get turned on unti 7am.

And it truly does sound like a freight train moving through the room.  The first time it sounded off I nearly had a heart attack.

We were given as many of the standard or decaf pods as we wanted at no extra charge.

Hello,

I'm flattered that my thread as been resurrected after all this time.

For completeness here is what I subsequently wrote in November last year:

Hello,

For those interested in the fine detail, the model of the Lavazza machine in JS (and above) is 'LB300USA'.

The case says it takes both Lavazza 'Blue' and 'Expert' capsules.

Cublet

On our last Anthem J3 there was a Lavazza machine which I enjoyed.

Looking at a J4 (prior SPA JS) for the next time and all the stateroom pictures & YouTube videos show a Mr. Coffee machine?

Are Lavazza machines only in the J3's?

Hello,

We don't have the term 'half and half' this side of the pond, but we do have 'half cream' (without specifying what the other half is!). This is available here in the stick format or 'jigger pots' but the origin is Ireland so you may not be able to get those particular ones  in the US.
