I lost $1000 USD on one cruise and keep getting Casino Deals.

I have no idea how much I won, aka how much money I actually spent.

But clearly it was worth it.

I basically play with only $100 each cruise. If they had electronic/video roulette I'd spend way more time there, especially now when I really don't want several people sitting down around the same table with me.

We booked this deal for the 14 day transatlantic Tampa to Barcelona in April.  About $400 each for tips, taxes and port fees.  We can't stay home for that.  We also sail Saturday on the Horizon 8 day southern Caribbean,  this one slightly more $240 each plus taxes and tips but still a great deal.  Balconies both times.

How much is the flight back from Barcelona?

That's what I keep thinking. Carnival is all about their casino pax. Feeling left out. It does make me feel like I'm not carnivals target or wanted.

Good thing rcl is making it up with the best ever prices for solos I've ever seen. ..and I thought I already had good solo prices. Now im wishing I didnt book breeze. Rcl treating me better.

I’ve started to think that as well, lol. There’s definitely a focus there from what I’ve seen. Admittedly not my deal to gamble so okay I guess all the money I spend elsewhere on the ship is just not balancing the scales. Ha ha. I’m looking forward to RCL moving their mega ship o Galveston. That’ll be my first jump from Carnival.

I've been jumping on these offers for the last 5 years and currently have some good through 2024.

The best for the buck  so far was the 14 day Journey in 1/2020 since it included DOU anywhere onboard and $500 casino cash( it was real $$$) in addition to the OBC deposit refund and it was a Premiere cruise.  Only cost was tax and port charges.

Everything I've booked since has been canceled but I have another Journey on Legend booked for 1/2023.

Not rushing to book anything else right now. I'll wait till Baltimore and NY ports are back in full swing and "more normal."

Honestly, the cost of a cruise.. maybe bring $1,000 .. cycle it through the machines a few times so you bet $8,000 or so over the course of the cruise. The first cruise where we paid full price and then gambled enough for a casino offer is the thing paid for the next cruise.

That being said, I think we'll beat the house next year, during COVID we booked 2 cruises for 2022. Both are casino offers, casino credit, $200 OBC + the $600 OBC from cancelled cruises ... even factoring in port fees and taxes we're gonna come out on top - really looking forward to those!

My husband and I both have the Jackpot offers.  It includes drinks when gambling so does that mean we will both get the drinks?  Also can we book 2 cruises with that offer and each get the drinks on both cruises? I have a call into my PVP but no call back yet.

The terms are whatever it says in the offer as far as whether it says " for you and companion" or not. However, others have posted that the casino will approve drinks for both if you both have received the offer. I would either call the casino desk or bring both offers onboard to the casino host.

To be honest, we haven't seen any particular pattern. Both my wife and I, belong to the Players Club and we get offers almost every other week.

The latest free room offer was on my wife's account and the last free room was on my account.

Anyone jumping on any of these deals? Most from Fla-Tex, but some in Oct-Nov from Baltimore.

Yes like a few other jump on this deal a couple of months ago. Sailing on Elation in Sept 2022. Have a Horizon and Mardi Gras before it. No longer in my offers. I believe it was only available to me for about a month if that.

We jumped on these offers, have a cruise on the MG in Nov. free drinks anywhere and 500 free play each, then in April 2022, b2b on MG again with the same offers, we play in the casino quite a bit, about 2k each trip, win some and lose some, did do good this time on the Magic on the 8/7 sailing, enough to cover each trip.

I got the offer last month and it was pretty much any cruise, any ship, even Mardi Gras.  I ended up booking b2b Christmas/New Year’s cruises on Panorama. With prepaid gratuities, each week was $415 and I have $200 OBC each week.

I also get offers pretty regularly.  I have been on two cruises (ever), the first of which was pre-covid and did gamble a bit on that one. The second was two-ish weeks ago (seems like last week).  I played a lot more time but a lot less $ on this one (because I had a few nice wins that I recycled over and over).

Offers I receive are generally Premier, Premier SE, or Ultra offers that include a balcony or suite with DOU everywhere (me only) and $1k free play. Australia offers that I receive are generally balcony with DOU everywhere (me only) and $4k AUD (about $3.2k USD).

I do also occasionally receive lower free play offers with higher statuses (e.g. Elite cruise with only $300 in free play or Elite Australia with only $1k AUD in free play) but it's difficult to justify the difference when weighed out. Simply put, I'd rather book a free suite with $1K in play and drinks for me than a balcony with $300 in free play and drinks for both of us that also comes an "Elite" free gift (which I assume, but have no idea, is some type of carnival swag).

My offers have not changed after returning from the second cruise, and while I have 7 more trips booked over the next 24 months (2 of which are out of Australia), I look at each new offer to see if I can make it work schedule wise. I know that at some point the law of "he doesn't play like he did that one time" will catch up and the offers will diminish or end... but until then...  cheap vaca(s). 😄

We have booked 3 cruises with the $100 per person rate. Just got off of the Vista on the 14th, have a 7 day out of New Orleans in January and a 5 Day out of New Orleans in Sept 2022.

We had a 8 day out of Galveston booked under normal rates and found out getting away from work was not happening so we jumped on the January $100 rate. Saved me about a Grand!!

Hello everyone. We also have a couple cruises booked on these free offers. Has anybody successfully added the Shareholder benefit for $100 On Board Credit on these cruises? Going to give it a try and send an email. TIA.

My most recent experience....

In May I sent an email request that included the 5 cruises that I had booked with Carnival at that time.  I got an email response the next day - they had approved my request for the first 4 cruises (2 in November out of Galveston and 2 in December out of Sydney) and stated that since the last one was in December of 2022, I would need to re-apply next year.  The first cruise was a Premier, the second was an Ultra and the 2 Australia  cruises were Premier (I think - I've since had to cancel them since the country isn't open yet....)

Since that original email, I booked an Alaska cruise in June that just sailed 2 weeks ago.  Since that one was a "Jackpot" offer, the room was free.  When I applied for just that cruise, I got an email that stated that my request wasn't honored since the cruise was comped.  But, to make it more confusing, the $!00 shareholder OBC did show up when I was on the ship?!  I'm sure others will tell you the same thing - they're not always consistent in their decision making.

I'd suggest that you request it anyway - it may very well be honored and there's no reason not to ask....

I never get emails for the offers but I do see them when I log in to my VIFP account. I have the $100 per person...the free Cheers..offers up to $500 obc..and a new one for $45 per person..and I only gamble around $100 total on a 7 night cruise. These offers have no rhyme or reason. Just keep checking.

Where do you see them when you log in?

Few places

1 - at the top of the website is a button that says "Today's Deals" - that will show casino offers and regular offers

2 - click on your account and on the left it says "My Offers" - that shows the exact same last as above

If you don't log in only the regular offers will show up. not the ones specific to casino offers

You can also just log in then search for a specific cruise. If the type of room is listed at $100, instead of the regular price then you know it's an offer.

Has anyone tried to upgrade cabins with the casino rate closer to the time of sailing and been successful?    I have some great casino offers for under $100pp for inside cabin.    Thinking of booking it, and then if the Covid situation explodes even more and I decide not to go, I will be out less.   But if I go, I'd like to have a balcony, but I'm not sure if I'd have to pay prevailing rate at that point to upgrade, or if I could get the balcony casino rate.
