Hi! Can you tell me how the cruise was overall?  Glad you went? Any major issues? Very different from Pre COVID? Thanks so much!

It was empty and it was fantastic..... except for the embarkation disaster for everyone but that was am isolated case due to the ship getting back to Port 4 hours late prior. Once past check in and all the security and covid information submittal everything on board was really good. Only had to wear masks while getting food in the buffet, entering the MDR or in large seating areas like the theater and casino and such. Not required outside or in the spa or when eating and drinking inside. Masks had little effect on our fun . MDR was good. Service all around was great and the drinks aboard were some of the best ever. No lines for anything  ..... and I only paid $669 total for the wife and I for the week which was the best cruise deal I ever had. No issues of any kind and no covid reports.... some guests thought masking didn't apply to them of course. It was pretty much the same as pre covid.

Did the crew try to do anything to make the passengers who thought that masking did not apply to them comply with the masking rules?

Absolutely not and I left that note in my post Cruise survey. They were afraid to confront and more concerned with getting positive post cruise surveys. More worried about surveys than being willing to enforce mask wearing. They didn’t want to upset anyone which was wrong .

Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe they were also afraid of passengers removing tips.

Unfortunately, there are others with the exact opposite attitude. I read a post in another thread in which the poster said do not worry about mask mandates. He (or she) only wore their mask in the elevators. He (or she) was once told by a crew member to put on the mask, and did so until the crew member was out of sight.

He and She  were being watched by the Facial Recognition Mask Camera as each violation is $10,000 and booted off at the next Mexican Port😁

Can you please find out if this  reduced capacity will be in effect to mid 2022?

I don't think anyone knows that answer. Not Carnival or the CDC. Our cruise was less than 70% because no one wanted to go and based on the crazy good offers I am receiving Carnival is indeed struggling to fill ships. For how long ? Who knows .....

It may be for awhile due to people not wanting to take a risk. I'll gladly sail any day😁

Another reason to wear a mask---facial recognition will not be able to identify you.😁

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that banks used to have a sign that said take of your sunglasses and hat and now have a sign that says wear a mask?🤦‍♂️
