You get the one question vaccination survey when you book. About 2 weeks before your cruise you would get this form. Have a great cruise, aren't you on for Dec.?

True on the negative test result. or an official CARNIVAL exemption document, if unvaxxed. (Ditto).

 

Everybody has to show up with a negative Covid test result.

Part of the underlying issue here is that neither the CDC nor the NIH nor FDA have opined on post-infection immunity. (Note some media outlets call this "natural" immunity, but there's no such thing.  You have to get sick to get it.).  One would think that with over 45 million cases of COVID recorded in the US alone, and with with millions of tests administered, the data would be there and easily communicated in plain English to the public.  But authorities either don't know or aren't telling.  

Thus cruise lines and other corporations who cater to the traveling public have to abide by what the Guidelines state.

It isn't up to the CDC. I did ask someone at Carnival:

"That is not accurate, everyone has to show up at the pier with a negative test."
