For years I have been getting casino special and was never able to book one. But My wife and i just got an unbelievable casino deal for this Saturday so we booked it. Does anyone know how long I need to paly daily in the casino to continue to get these casino special. I know from conversation on different cruises with casino players that there is a formula i just can't remeber what it is. Any help is greatly apprciate it. SurfCat Posted September 14, 2021 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2021 I have been able to find no rhyme or reason to the offers. I play blackjack consistently at $100 per hand and my wife plays the slots for .25 per pull. She often gets better deals than I get.
john91498 Posted September 14, 2021 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2021 You'll always get the specials regardless of how long you play. I've found as long as we take them up on one of their offers, the deals will keep coming. Lately, we've been getting deals twice a week.

Table games players will ALWAYS WITHOUT EXCEPTION get lesser comps and offers than slot players due to table games have a higher house advantage. This is true for ALL cruiseline casino programs and land-based casino programs.
kwokpot Posted September 14, 2021 #5 Share Posted September 14, 2021 Play the slots, not table games like roulette, craps or any kind of card games, including backjack.
silversneakers Posted September 14, 2021 #6 Share Posted September 14, 2021 We get offers from Carnival, RCL and Holland America. By far, the HA offers the better options. My next cruise is $750 free play for both my DH and myself with a free interior cabin. Just returned from H/A Alaska with free outside cabin and $250 free play/drinks/for both my DH and myself. RCL only offered free interior cabin, no free play.

Right now the casino deals are across the board amazing but that will change. However, no one knows exactly how many points (if they even do) triggers offers. Onboard perks during your cruise are based on how you rank with other gamblers on that specific cruise.

Slot machines have the HIGHEST house advantage in the casino, save a few really bad bets. Good rules BJ carries a House Edge of about half of 1%, where un regulated slot machines like those in the casino can have 10x+ that of a blackjack table. THIS is the reason for less offers for table game players. 1
80sGal Posted September 18, 2021 #12 Share Posted September 18, 2021 (edited) I have an offer that has Free DOU for both of us in the Casino and then another portion of that offer says "Chance at More than $10000 in Free Play, Cash or other prizes." What does that mean? How does one redeem that "chance"? The fine print of the terms references Carnival will distribute prizes at its discretion as Free play, cash or OBC, but I still don't understand what we need to do to take part. Anyone else have this promo or received it in the past? Thanks! Edited September 18, 2021 by 80sGal Typo

I think what I still don't quite understand is whether those potential prizes are exclusively for ppl booked with this rate code, and if so, how do we actually get entered for those drawings? Do we have to actively do something ... sign up, see guest services, etc.?

If you're booked under that code, they'll have you pre-registered for everything. They may allow non-participating cruisers enter some contests if not full. It's not the largest or most exclusive offer, but it's a start towards those free cruises. Do this, put in your time and they see you're not a flake doing the minimum, and they'll offer you more. It's a two way street, You want something from them, they want something from you, your time

As mentioned, some in casino events are exclusive and some aren't. Some of the event/drawings, you get more chances the more points you have. So for that big prize, you would need to win a seat into the slot/blackjack/poker tournament, go on that cruise and then win again.
nlktx49 Posted September 18, 2021 #21 Share Posted September 18, 2021 We started cruising Carnival in 2008, always play in the casino. We aren't high rollers by any means! Usually take $300 each on a 7-day, when that's gone, that's the end of playing. Only play the slots. The Casino Players Club offers started coming in slowly. My brother-in-law drops a lot of money at the tables and he got regular offers. The past few years we started getting more offers. The past month they were coming in frequently, but only to my husband, not to me or my brother-in-law. Two weeks ago my husband booked four cruises in two days, said the offers were so good they were practically paying us to cruise, too good to pass up. $100 each for a balcony room? Wow. Thought I was going to have to slap some sense into him to make him stop, but he finally got himself under control! As near as we can tell there is no rhyme or reason as to who gets the offers. We've often discussed this. We do spend a lot of time in the casino even though we don't spend a lot, if that makes any difference.

We have some friends we cruise with who spend a lot more than we do on slots. They are always getting free cruises, free drinks, free dinners in the steak house, etc The casino host just comes up to them when they are playing and hands them a card for whatever they're giving them. Hasn't ever happened to me!
