NCL Jade - Suite Benefits

We are on the Jade departing this Sunday in Greece. Me, my wife and our 4 adult children. We upgraded all three of our rooms to a two room family suite. What benefits or perks come with this suite?  I can’t find it anywhere. It seems to me that suite perks vary quite often. Thank you.

I think the Jade "suite" category includes the butler and concierge service.

Not for free, but you are always able to have laundry done on board. During most cruises there will be a day where there is a ‘fill a bag’ laundry offer for a certain price. The laundry bag will be in your cabin.

The package usually costs around $25 and all items that you can fit in the bag will be washed and ironed for a set price. At other times when the promotion is not going, there is a price list per garment.

One of the very best suite perks is the suite-only breakfast, usually in the Moderno space. It’s a great way to start the day.  Suite-only lunch in Cagney’s space (usually).  I’m not as big a fan of that because it’s a very limited menu, mostly of things I find too heavy for lunch. But YMMV of course; do check it out. 
 

In port, if you have shorex booked, or are going ashore on your own (I have no idea about the protocols on your itinerary), the concierge will escort you to the gangway where you will bypass the line to disembark. (That’s how it was pre-Covid at least.)

Hi Mike, did you get the 2 bedroom suite? You mentioned  2 rooms so I wasn’t sure.  Is so this is great suite. The ones on deck 11 are wonderful.  These have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. 

Agree with Turtles06 about the perks mentioned above. 
 

The butler will bring you treats, but you can also request other things.  The butler and the concierge  are not included in the daily service charges, so just something to keep in mind. The concierge can secure dining reservations. Sometimes there is separate seating area for the shows, usually in the balcony. 
 

Usually priority embarkation and  disembarkation are among the perks, with a separate waiting area for suites. 
 

I think there is just maybe a special for laundry, not free. 
 

Of course,  anything can be different right now. 
 

We haven’t sailed on the Jade so not sure about specifics to that ship and the “Haven”  but I m sure others can comment.

Only saw the 2 BR suite on the GEM.  Very, very nice cabin.  Suite passengers get the same perks as Haven passengers, only without access to the very small Haven areas and no dinner in the specialty restaurants.

 

Everything else, Butler, Concierges etc are included, though (except for the free laundry and maybe the stocked fridge)

Huh?  What dinner in a specialty restaurant do Haven guests get on the Jewel class ships?  Never heard of it before.

I know that in the past, a dinner was hosted for one evening in Cagney's for our group from the Haven.

"Specialty Restaurant" is a location for breakfast and lunch. It was intended to say you don't get the same for dinner.

Sorry, that doesn't make sense.  Haven guests also don't get dinner in the non-existent Haven restaurant or any other specialty restaurant for that matter.  There is also no 'free laundry' for Haven guests.  Basically the only thing you don't get is access to the small Haven area.

There is no dedicated Haven restaurant on the Jewel class ships. On those ships, all suite guests, whether in the Haven or not, have access to a dedicated breakfast and lunch venue for suite guests only, typically Moderno (breakfast) and Cagney's (lunch).  These are not specialty meals, merely the physical space/location being used for those breakfasts and lunches.  There is no provision on those ships for a dedicated suite dinner.  I hope this clears up any confusion.

Yes, unless things have changed due to Covid.  Ordinarily, Suite and Haven guests have a lounge to wait in until they're escorted on board.  If your cabin isn't ready, they'll escort you to Moderno's or Cagney's (whichever is the one used by the ship for Suite/Haven pax).  You also get a more robust room service menu, and there's no charge for room service.  Use your concierge to make all your dining and show reservations.  You can also call your butler to order specialty dining and have it delivered to your room.  If you're using your dining plan, just let him know when you place your order with him, so you don't get a specialty restaurant upcharge put on your bill.

The OP is sailing on the Jade. No shows require reservations.  (Just didn’t want them to be confused. 😊)

They should, but again sometimes things are different right now.   There will be signs directing you.   Usually, there is a separate “lounge ” for waiting as well. Sometimes the concierge will come  to the lounge and introduce her/him self.    As others mentioned, you will be directed to Cagney’s or Moderno’s for lunch.  Very nice way to start your cruise.

Technically when you have butler service, the room service menu is anything available on the ship.  They have a room service menu but your butler can and usually will get you anything you desire.  Within reason of course.
