Carnival ship pins

I was just on the Sunrise and received a pin but it doesn't have the ship name?   Anyone else received one recently?

Yes, we got one on Vista at the end of July, doesnt have the ship name either

I think we're getting Gold level pins if my memory is correct.  Didn't we used to get "non-ship-specific" pins when we were Gold?

I Believe right now they are just giving generic pins. We were on the Magic in Aug, and just received the pin with no ship name.

Just off Horizon and only got generic pin

Vista got generic pin. I think it's odd my logo gift doesnt say carnival. It says VIPF club .. like the whole world knows what that means.

I just checked ours.  From 1999-2015 it was just the ship's name.  In 2017 on the Paradise, it said VIFP 2017.  We were Gold through all of those.  Our last cruise (Platinum) on the Horizon it said Horizon, VIFP and 2019.

I think everyone gets the same pin. If it is ship specific isnt due to being gold but to what carnival happens to be giving out.

That is a disappointment.  I wear a baseball hat on the cruise with 23 pins attached with most showing the ship names.  Oh well, I was starting to run out of room anyway.

You get gold pins. Just got our two days ago

It's actually a better pin imo. It says welcome back and it's bigger

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Carnival had no idea which of it's ships, if any would be back in service during 2021. From a financial perspective it doesn't make sense to have massive amounts of ship specific pins produced that could very well never be used. Instead they opted for a general 2021 commemorative pin to celebrate the return of cruising. When the 2022 cruising season starts back up I suspect that the ship specific pins will return.
