vafatboy Posted October 5, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2021 We're planning on taking a cruise with the inlaws and parents. Has anyone every got a second key to your room. We'd like to have a key to the parents room to assist them in the morning getting out of bed. They will be in a handicap room and uses a wheelchair. Yes, just go to guest services and they will get you sorted out. It is very common.

It was no problem getting a multiple keys to various rooms. So we could sort out sleeping arangements.
Another_Critic Posted October 5, 2021 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2021 Note that the extra keys are just room key cards, they are not SeaPass cards (i.e., no charge privileges, etc.).
cruiseguy1016 Posted October 5, 2021 #6 Share Posted October 5, 2021 We've done this multiple times when we've had our kids with us. I'm not sure of your cabin arrangements, ours were always next door to each other. We kept the extra card key on our desk so we didn't have to carry two cards with us all the time. On the newer ships which have RFID card stock, some reports suggested getting duplicates was a bit harder. Also, on the very newest ships (and Oasis) you can use the app on a mobile device to open the door - that method could be used in lieu of a second key.
HMY624 Posted October 13, 2021 #9 Share Posted October 13, 2021 We had no issues getting an extra card on Symphony in Feb 2020. We had two cabins and one adult in each so my husband's card didn't work in our cabin and I couldn't get into the kids so we got two extra keys. They were just plain cards without any names or anything.
