First night dinner

We're sailing 10/31 out of Baltimore. Sail time is 6:30, what do they do about dinner that night ?

What do you mean? They serve dinner regardless of your time to leave port.

This is correct. Dinner will start on time regardless if you are at dock or at sea. Not just the MDR but all the dining locations.

I think we will be too consumed in everything going on for Night 1. We will probably not do the MDR and just get food on the Lido deck somewhere: Guy's, Marketplace, Seafood Shack, or pizza. Between getting onboard, getting accustomed to things (first cruise), meeting people in our group, sail away party, and everything else, I don't want to stop what I am doing and go for a sit down meal that could take 2 hours. Just let me get my vacay mojo going.

No, they don't hold back dinner service in the MDR while security hunts down a couple who skipped muster. I went on one cruise that didn't hold muster until the morning after sailing!

I like sitting in the dining room the first night and watching the ship pass under the bridges through the windows.
