  • gandalf1 changed the title to P &O HEALTH DECLARATION FORM

I have now had email 2 reminders that I have to complete and so it seems.... and I have come to the conclusion that the website is absolutely rubbish and not fit for purpose, I have sent a reply and guess what it say no reply so if you just copy and paste the reservations bit of the email you can send it otherwise its either a phone call or wait for engineers to finish the simple programming bit to update.... what a cr ap system and process!!!! I just want to pack cases and get going not having to create a spreadsheet with what has to be done🤪

P&O have reported IT problems with the filling in Health Declaration on Faceache and said for those cruising soon it will be done at the port because it will not be repaired anytime soon. Not surprised P&O having an IT problem seems to be the "norm" these days.

Ah, just seen this thread.I posted exactly the same question in another thread just now.

The thing is if they're posting updates on Facebook about this then why don't they put the same message where you log-in to avoid uneccessary worry.

I'm not on any social media and never have been so how on earth are we meant to know this ?

We're cruise newbies and prepared to give P&O the benefit of the doubt but from the many queries on what should be straightforward matters on this forum I'm beginning to get the impression that P&O's IT department is crap.

This is information they should be supplying instead of the excellent advice being dispensed on here by regulars.

For a cruise newbie you’ve caught on very quickly, because they are 😂

Don’t let that put you off though. I strongly recommend you using a specialist cruise travel agent (we’re not allowed to mention them by name on here), and let them deal with all the issues for you. Probably not very useful advice for your current problem, but something to bear in mind for the future.

Les.

When did you get asked to fill this in?  The questionnaire is no more from cruises departing from 9 December - I have 8 members of my family currently on Aurora and no form was required. I fly to join Britannia on Friday and none for that either although I'm told we will be asked questions at the airport in the same way as used to happen before the pandemic.

The same happened to me, we were due to fly to Tenerife and cruise round the Canaries for my birthday in November. I answered yes to a question which actually had a few symptoms included, but I only had one, immediately our cruise was cancelled. There is no where on the form to add any relevant information or no contact number to speak to anyone about it, just instantly cancelled. I rang P&O straight away and was told there was nothing they could do about it, no FCC or change of date and to claim on holiday insurance, this is disgusting when they are the ones who’ve cancelled. I’ve emailed to complain about the form being unfit for purpose and the unfairness of having to claim on my insurance but alas have had no reply.

Hi did they move your cruise or offer FCC? I’m still reeling from them cancelling our cruise, it was devastating when the sign came up it was cancelled, I actually cried. So disappointing, just got in from having hair and nails done and was all packed and sorted. They’ve not even replied to my emails.

Do you have a final answer from your travel insurance saying no valid claim?  If so email it to P&O at Executive.Correspondence@carnivalukgroup.com stating you are giving them 7 days to respond and will be opening an ABTA case against them.  In your email state you are aware others have received a settlement for FCC when the insurer has said no valid claim.

The form has been discontinued due to pressure from the insurance industry and ABTA.  Do not give up, keep chasing.
