Aquamar Spa Terrace Access

Specifically on Marina, I understand that Concierge and higher get access to the Spa Terrace area with lounges and what appears to be a hot and cold type whirlpool set up.  Does this access also include any indoor areas like steam/sauna, etc?  Or is it just the outdoor space?

the  steam/sauna  & showers are open to anyone

also the heated loungers by the Spa terrace

The spa terrace with the loungers & hot tubs  you have to use your room key to enter

They don't run into crowding problems in the steam/sauna areas?

The info I got on the site says there is a day use fee, if you are not qualified for free access. Anyone know how much it is?

Cannot answer for Oceania, but on a couple of other lines it runs $70-120 a day. But a different option has been to book a spa treatment* and therefore get either all-that-day or partial-day access to those areas (or occasionally just SOME of those areas--maybe not the thalasso pool or the mud room, etc.).  If you won't be getting treatments, might be more economical to just spring for all-cruise access.

*As differentiated from salon services, so read the fine print, lol.

At one time it was mentioned $25 pp per day   at the Spa manager's discretion

You can get 1 hr access  with a spa treatment

Not sure the rules now

On board Riviera now. Access is Free if Concierge level on up but a Fee for other levels. There are reduced capacities for use of the steam room so making arrangements with the Aquamar staff is wise.
We will have to see how the CDC restrictions play out once we are back in US waters come December.
For upcoming cruises in the Caribbean, please do not sail with the expectation mask requirements will go away. Safety measures remains #1 and every port of call has their own requirements. Just plan to be flexible and enjoy being back to sea on Oceania.

I'm happy to hear that the steam/sauna is open at any rate.

I take it that masks are not required on board, provided you have double dipped the stick?

Two things, yes there is a Fee and it is $25 per day.

Second, Masks are required no matter how many jabs, just not while eating and drinking. So when we are at a meal, drinking tea, drinking in a bar, or eating In Barista’s or any restaurants, masks are not required. In the TC when you are selecting food or walking around, your mask is required.
Solution, always have food or drink accessible and no one will question you. If walking around without a mask properly worn, you will be asked to put on your mask.
People on board are definitely trying to follow the guidelines and protocols and no one wants to see even ONE positive test.

Does anyone know...Are the stringent mask requirements due to Riviera's location in the Med where countries have strict rules, or is this a corporate policy covering all Oceania ships in all locations? Reason I am wondering is I just spoke to someone who returned from cruising in the same region as Riviera on Celebrity...sounds like mask requirements on his cruise were not as strice. Not asking for opinions here whether the policy is good or bad..just information on whether on ship masking in public indoor areas at all times is an Oceania decision or local government mandate...and whether it prevails/ will prevail on other Oceania ships in other regions.

I am told it is different in the Caribbean, no masks required on board..since we havent sailed there yet it might change..that would not be a surprise..

It's rather clear from O's published protocols that if masks are required it's due to local regulations, not corporate policy. That is also consistent with mask protocols on O's corporate sibling NCL, where masks have been required on their European cruises but not on their Bermuda and Caribbean cruises.  Here's O's published policy, which is consistent with NCL's published policy:

FACE COVERINGS

Are face coverings required? Our cruises will operate with 100% vaccination of guests and crew and therefore face coverings are generally not required, subject to local oversight of authorities in the jurisdiction(s) in which the ships are sailing. At this time EU regulations currently require all guests to wear masks onboard while indoors except for when actively eating or drinking or when in their stateroom or suite. Guests will be required to wear masks outdoors when social distancing is not possible. We will continue to update our face coverings policy as protocols evolve and change.
