Booking more than ever!

Anyone else find themselves booking more than they ever had before?

Carnival keeps sending me the "RU3" offer with Cheers included, and my PVP keeps finding me itineraries I haven't done before. It's almost impossible to not keep booking. After doing the normal "Western Caribbean" itineraries for years we will:

Next week: Going to HMC, Amber Cove and Bimini

Next fall: Aruba, Curacao, La Romania, Amber Cove.

2023: Costa Maya and Cozumel

Cozumel is the only one of those ports we've ever visited. For the first time in my life I find myself with THREE upcoming bookings. I know they are trying hard to get people back onboard after the shutdown.  We haven't been onboard in almost three years and are ready to make up for lost time! With prices going crazy everywhere else, I'll happily keep taking discount bookings to new places!

Anyone else extra excited for upcoming cruises?

There are great prices on cruises. The problem for us is air to get to the cruise. Not seeing crazy prices on airlines I think won’t cancel on me.

if we lived a reasonable drive from a cruise port we might be booking more.

Going for the first short cruise in December and have May and December of 2022 booked!   We have to fly too but, I  typically get great deals by booking 6 mo in advance. We also get a visit in with the parents who live in Florida. It’s a win, win.

Glad to see I'm in good company!

I remember paying a lot more for balconies a few years ago. With prices on everything else on the rise, cruising seems like an even better deal now!

Yes, your right, so guess I will keep booking the good deals, Have a Mardi Gras on Thanksgiving, a B2B in April, and a Birthday cruise in July, wish I could talk the wife in more,  lol.

Have been on 30+ cruises with none in the last 2 years and none booked.

They never offer me anything enticing. I get RU9 codes but they stink.

I'll continue to sit on the sidelines until I have a good reason to book.

Sorry to hear that. I'm not sure how or why I keep getting RU3's, but they seem to know I'll book every time it's offered.

I get great casino offers these days but have nothing booked until January 2023.

Too many reasons to not book anything before then but that's OK.

Hopefully, 2023 will be like the old days and testing and masks will be history!

Yes! Super excited! I have 6 cruises booked. First one in two weeks, then sailing on my first NYE cruise! The casino offers have been awesome with Carnival (and Royal). I have Southern, Eastern and Mexican coming up next year. I’m tempted by new deals but running out of vacation time lol.

We've gotten some very good deals also. Have 9 on the books thru 2023. Next up is a B2B on the Mardi Gras in April.

We nearly booked the Mardi Gras for 2022!  Actually spent a tad more to go on the Horizon, but couldn't turn down the Southern Caribbean route that we've never had a chance to book (not to mention our first 8 day cruise)

Yup..

we did Alaska 15 years ago and thought that was a once in a lifetime vacation. but went last August for basically free...well i know nothing is free but it was cheap...I sail in two weeks to Mexico and going to a 3 day the Ensenada MX. in December both for $100 plus tax and port but have casino cash and drinks etc.  it will end up them paying me to have the pleasure of using there cabin LOL.... plus I have a 10 day Cruise set for next year to Alaska that is a cheap deal...I only wish I was able to take more time off of work this year to take more days at Sea.

Econ 101 my friend.  Prices plummet, demand increases.

For sure! It just seems like cruises are the only product/service with falling prices right now.

And while I totally understand why, I'll gladly take advantage as long as they keep offering these deals. Prices will go back up eventually, and I'll happily hoard as many bookings as my better half will allow!

I had jumped on a super deal for Oct.17/Glory but ended up cancelling because DW wasn't happy with taking our DS out of school for a week. Rebooked for July 2022/Valor B2B, 2X5days.

Spent a week in Orlando for our summer vacation. Got tired of paying for every meal for us 4. Missed cruising really bad, such a great value. Took advantage of some great deals and booked Horizon/Christmas Break and Vista/Spring Break. Combination of different deals, RU2, free cabin, extra OBC. I always used to book one at a time but, had to act on these great deals. All my cruises pre-Covid seemed to be on nearly full ships so, it will be nice if I can enjoy these bigger ships at any kind of reduced capacity.

Agree. The airfare is such a deterrent.  Averaging $350-400 to MIA. Pre-cruise hotel and associated meals with flying down a day early can add $1000 easily onto the price.  Oh and  let's include the stress of whether the airline will cancel.
