Is St. Thomas time same as ship time?

My family and I are planning to go to Coki Beach on our own to do some snorkelling. I've contacted the Coki Beach Dive Club, who have a package where they'll pick you up at the ship for free if you're snorkelling with them. My concern is that I understand St. Thomas time may be different than ship time. How do I find this out so I don't miss my excursion (or get off the ship an hour early)?

Thanks!

Normally cruise ships change their time to the local port that they are at.

St. Thomas is in Atlantic time

But they don't observe daylight savings time so if we have a time change in the US St. Thomas and Miami are on the same time.
