Did anyone get an Elite offer?

I can’t remember exactly but I’m thinking a bag of some type and elite branded playing cards and something else I’m sure.  There were multiple cocktail parties throughout the week, elite only games/prizes and you could choose one excursion for free.

This is my first! Do you remember what gifts you got in your room? What activities you were invited to?

There was just another thread on this and the current gifts are much less and cheaper in value than before. So the fact someone pre covid won a tablet or laptop doesnt mean you can now.

I saw the gifts mentioned and they werent much.

Ultra in past had the better gifts while Elite has the better perks - drinks anywhere, limo/car service, free excursion.  All those perks are still in current Elite offers.

I got my first Elite offer and it is sweet, free balcony, free WiFi, free drinks everywhere on the ship and more.

Has anyone gone on one of these yet?

Just one in 2019

It was nice to have the parking paid for at the port.( Reimbursed at the Casino Cashier. )

A bottle of liquor in your room for consumption during the cruise (your choice. )  If two in cabin are Elite, it was 2 bottles)  I was solo

Steakhouse Comp

The usual cookies, strawberries and a box of sea salt caramels.

I can't recall what the gifts were but there was something in the cabin every night.  I gave them away before I came home.

It feels like it was 100 years ago, so I can't think of anything else.

Can anyone tell me if the Jan. 15 Mardi Gras is an Elite cruise?  I heard a rumor that is was.  I just got off the Mardi Gras last week and it was an Ultra cruise.  What a zoo!  I wish they would publish the casino cruise dates so people can avoid them.  I guess at this time, every cruise is a casino cruise.  Can't blame them for trying to get some extra revenue, I guess.

We're going on an Elite in April and I'm wondering, do they contact you before the cruise to find out what liquor you want in the room or what excursion you would like?

These days, even more than before, Carnival is good at promising things but short on making it easy to get them. So what things need to be taken care of before we get to the boat?

Thanks

Yep - it would seem that there are lots of casino offer/dates available.

I had an elite offer once, perhaps 3 years ago, and had to cancel it. Never received another. Ultra sailing in August on the Mardi Gras. I only played with the free play they gave me.

We're booked on our first Elite for an 8 day partial Panama Cruise in February on the Pride out of Tampa.  I plan to do a review and will be sure to cover when we get emails asking preferences, etc.  If there are any other specific questions, let me know.

Thanks guys for the info- I booked the 16 day Panama Canal, Seattle to Miami on the Freedom in Sept. Going solo.

We are on that sailing also but while we have some nice perks ( free balcony , $500 funplay , and drinks everywhere ) it is not an elite offer 😞

One of the better perks of Elite cruises is the free transfers or parking perk. In places like Port Canaveral and Galveston this perk, for those that fly in, saves alot of money in transfers. At those ports you can stay near the airport and then use the private transfer perk to get to the ship pier. Both Port Canaveral and Galveston are pricey for transfers from their closest airports. And the provided transfer is not a shared shuttle but your own private car service! So if you want to save some more money you can book an airport hotel that has a free transfer from the airport and the Elite transfer perk will cover the transfer from you hotel to the port and after the cruise port to airport. No out of pocket transfers for your cruise trip!

About 3 weeks before your cruisedate you will receive an email. Below is a copy and paste of the email I received on Aug. 13th for my Sept. 4th Mardi Gras cruise.

We will provide you complimentary transportation for up to 2 guests in an executive sedan, you will be picked up on the date when the cruise will depart from the hotel or airport and on the date the ship will return to the home port from the ship to the airport or hotel.

It does not show that week as an option for us.

I got an e-mail and then a few days later got a phone call confirming what I preferred. Perhaps it was because I declined the excursion and spa credit.

Not interested in a massage? If not what I would do is go on board and speak to the casino hosts about asking for something else in exchange for the excursion or spa credit. TBH, my husband didn't want a massage either so he was able to have them waive the upgrade fee for the internet. In any case think of something of similar or less value that you would like and see if you can have them comp that instead.
