price of 8 night wine bottle package on board vs on internet

Curious, as to the price of the 8 bottle wine package on board. Trying to figure out, if I should buy it ahead of time, or wait and use OBC on the ship(Konigsdam_)

Most appreciated, if you are onboard and can check.

It's no different.  The only difference is if you're eligible for a discount (3 or 4/5 star mariner) you'll pay full price ahead of time, and get your discount credited back as onboard credit.  If you buy it onboard, you'll be charged the discounted price.  Both work out to the same bottom line price.

Package #1 (8 bottles) was $258.42 (all in) & then we are 3 stars so got a discount of $54.75.  

 

Bought onboard the Rotterdam 10/20/21.

The price is the same, and I have used both methods, never again using the online, some kind of communication break down, it took 3 days to get it fixed. Never had an issue purchasing it onboard.

Agree with the others - no difference.

 

I prefer to wait until I am on board.  That way the wine stewards (if they are back) or the servers get credit and you can check to see what wines are actually available on board.

The only time I have seen a price break on wine packages in on world cruises.

These were passed on to me last week. If you don’t have a discount bring your own wine on board and pay corkage. Believe me it will be cheaper.
