Bermuda Travel Authorization for NCL B2B Cruises?

I've emailed the Bermuda Government to get clarification on this, but haven't heard back yet. I will follow-up with them for final confirmation, but while I'm waiting for their response I'd thought I'd check to see if anyone has experience on this they can share?

I will (of course) apply for my Bermuda Travel Authorization before the first cruise, but will I need a second authorization for the second leg?  If so, since I am not getting off the ship/leaving the port) between cruises, can NCL provide a PCR test to satisfy the Bermuda Government requirements?

based on the reports of the people who did the back to back cruises last month, you will need a second authorization for the second leg and yes the NCL will do the required testing

However, a lot can change between now and early April when cruises go back to Bermuda

NCL has the answers to your questions on its website. In particular note the last paragraph, which I've highlighted in bold print.

Bermuda Cruise Protocols

Country Requirements

Bermuda requires that all guests take a COVID-19 PCR test within 96-hours prior to their sail date.

All guests must register on the Bermuda Tourism website and upload their negative test result within 72-hours of embarkation. The registration form can be found here. A travel authorization number will be issued by Bermuda once approved.

Guests can start the travel authorization process up to 1 week before their sailing. Guests may enter their personal data even prior to receiving the COVID-19 PCR test results. If you start the travel authorization process but don't have PCR test results yet, you will receive email reminders to complete the application. The upload of the PCR test results should occur at same time as the upload of proof of vaccination. Do not upload one without the other, as the application will be rejected.

A travel authorization number will be issued by Bermuda once approved.

If you have any issues with the process, please contact:

Bermuda Tourism Authority: 1.833.570.2594 (toll-free)

Norwegian Cruise Line: 1.800.327.7030

In addition to the COVID-19 antigen test upon arrival at the cruise terminal, every guest will have a PCR swab taken that will be sent to a lab separately and results processed in the following day as part of the Bermuda pre-arrival requirements.

All guests staying onboard for more than one voyage must take a COVID-19 PCR test, submit another travel authorization application and receive a new travel authorization number for the 2nd voyage. A PCR test will be conducted onboard through our medical center. Guests will also undergo the pre-embarkation COVID-19 testing process prior to the start of the 2nd voyage.

I did the B2B on Breakaway.

You need to apply for the travel authorization while on board the ship. The ship's wifi allows guests to connect to the Bermuda Travel Authority website for free even if you don't have an internet plan.

NCL will give you a PCR test on board and send you a letter with the test results. You can ask the medical center to email you a PDF copy so you can upload it to the TA website along with proof of vaccination. There will also be a Bermuda Travel Authority representative on board the ship to assist.

US customs and immigration requires you to disembark the ship between legs. Prior to disembarkation day, NCL will give you instructions on where to meet and provide you with new key card. On disembarkation day, they will escort you off the ship, through customs, and on to the COVID testing.

After you pass the COVID test, you don't need to check-in again. You can even go explore the port. You will be given a sticker to wear that shows you are an in transit guest. When you return to the port, you tell the port agent you are an "in transit passenger" on a back to back, show your sticker, and they will put you on the expedited security line and from there you go straight on board by passing check-in.

You do not need to take your luggage with you off the ship and back on. If you are staying in the same cabin, you leave your luggage there. If you are changing cabins, you are given luggage tags and you leave your luggage in the cabin. The cabin steward will bring your luggage to the new cabin.

Thanks so much!  I'm disabled so  I won't be getting off in New York between cruises, but that's great that NCL will help handle the second Bermuda travel authorization!

Thank you!  It seems like a lot of hoops to jump through, but it's all worth it for me to be able to cruise again and feel safe.  I had Covid on my last cruise in 2020, so I love that they are testing people up the kazoo on these Bermuda cruises! 😁
