I will literally be following you (and Matt) live on the 2nd leg.  😄

I appreciate the vote of confidence, but RADIO can have all of the glory and fame here, as he’s much, much better at this (and I’m sure that I’ll be hiding incognito somewhere).

He is, after all, the undisputed Master of Ceremonies 👑 for Live threads.

There is no way you will successfully be incognito on board.  You won't be able to hide that BIG smile.  🙂

P.S.  I guess you missed my edit of my previous post.

I will have to follow you physically, not virtually, most of the cruise since I only have my 2 free days of Voom.  😄

Thanks for the nice comments. . . Are you sailing?

Just returned from our 4th trip on Anthem in 3 months. Food was fantastic, service amazing and the entertainment was the best I've ever experienced in 40+ cruises. Admittedly, the wifi was hit and miss. I can live with that though if everything else stays so great 😊We felt extremely safe with the protocols RCI have implemented re. Covid. More so than on land 🤷🏻‍♀️

This ship is so amazing, we're returning next month 🤦🏻‍♀️

Have a great cruise.....looking forward to following along also!  I also noticed someone else asked where you stay in Elizabeth NJ the night before? I'm also curious since we will cruise Oasis in May & going out of Cape Liberty is all new to us....we don't know where to look to stay, etc.  Do you also leave your car in the garage at the port?  So many decisions!

Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 1 of “LIVE” from Anthem of the Seas. I am currently enjoying a freshly brewed cup of delicious coffee while at Courtyard Marriott in nearby Elizabeth, NJ. I only have about a 20 min ride over to Cape Liberty (Bayonne). It is a very nice hotel that is very clean, and the staff is very friendly.

My boarding appointment is for later today at 1:30PM, and the cabins should all be open by then. The weather forecast for today is cloudy and cold (40f).

I still must pack up the Radio Pressroom, attach my luggage tags and make sure my documents are handy to show the Terminal Representatives.   I have some friends that I will be meeting on board, and my brother and his wife will be sailing as well. Next week some other friends will be boarding (Dec 5th), and it will be nice to say hello again.

I will be posting next from Anthem of the Seas this afternoon.

Thanks for tuning in.

Does that hotel allow you to park for free while you're on the cruise?

Yes — do not arrive early.  Friends 2 weeks ago still had a very long wait despite keeping to their scheduled time.  Cape Liberty has been very strict with times.  Katherine

well now on Nov 14th I arrived an hour early(12:30) and found the parking garage up to the 3rd level.

So people park early that is for sure.

Anyways I made my way down to terminal and they were letting everyone in and not checking times.

And I did not have to do muster on the app, but rather go to muster and someone checked me in and had to listen to a 3 minute chat on vest and mustering.   Very easy that week.  Again, it was 2 weeks ago.  I heard the prior week, not so good.  So each week can be different.  Like my week had the night time medical helipcopter.  And we had Coco Cay to ourselves since Independence could not make it in 2 hours earlier.

toodles.    MATT you are on the 7 day count down now and try to calm yourself just a bit.   If parking in garage, get there by 11:30 am

Hello everyone and good day.  I drove over to the Memorial Park at Cape Liberty around 12:30 to take a couple of photos. I then dropped off my luggage and went to park my car around 1:00. There was not much of a line to get into the terminal (maybe 10 passengers).  A port rep asked me when my scheduled appointment was, and I said it was at 1:30. He suggested that I get in this line and I walked right into the terminal.

The security process was very easy, and then I checked in. It only took about 5 to 10 minutes for check in. The time between parking my car and boarding the ship took only about 20 minutes.

I have a regular balcony cabin that is very spacious. There is plenty of storage for a 14 night cruise.

Of course the E-Muster went smooth and only took a couple of minutes. I had a nice lunch at The Café @ Two70.
We are scheduled to sail away at 5:00 p.m.

Here are a few pics from Embarkation and my cabin.

Thanks for tuning in. . . Many more pics later.
