screenname2004 Posted November 29, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2021 We will be in the Orlando area for a few days before our cruise on the Harmony of the Seas. Not familiar with Orlando and wonder if anyone wants to share their pre-cruising covid testing experience and recommendation? Thank you in advance. eggnoodle Posted December 1, 2021 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2021 I'm not from FL but we're using this as a backup. Not sure if anyone else has experiences with them or can recommend another testing facility. https://www.paramounturgentcare.com/contact-us/orlando/

If you plan to do the test at a Walgreens in Orlando area, make sure you confirm with them that they have the rapid antigen test available. When we were in Orlando between Dec 1 and 5, we can't find one. We did our test at Barnett Park ( https://www.orangecountyfl.net/EmergencySafety/Coronavirus/Testing.aspx#site0 ) on Dec 4. They open 7 days a week, 9 AM to 4 PM. You don't need to make appointment but you do have to pre-register on the day you plan to do the test. This is a drive-thru only testing site, no walk-ins are allowed. They will try to bill your medical insurance company if you fill out your provider's info during the registration process. If you say no insurance, the test is free to you. About half hour after the test, they will text you a link for your test result. They also called us to see if we want to get an email for the result. Had my Rapid Antigen test results before I even made it home. They say PCR results will take up to 24 hours.
hrhdhd Posted December 22, 2021 #9 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Note that Barnett Park will be closed 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, and 1/1. Also, they have been running out of tests before the closing time, usually around 1 p.m. Get there early.
