Baggage Drop off Question

I won't guarantee it should things have changed drastically in the 4 months since I was there, but wouldn't doubt you can do that. When we arrived at Miami's port for an August cruise the porters were just taking anyone's bags outside the terminal. They weren't checking your boarding time, since it's not their job.

Thank you.

We were in PC the other week. We could have easily done it. Not that we did, but instead of turning right to park, we could have turned left to exit the port. I don't see why the same isn't true in Miami. I think there would be an issue if you dropped bags off and never checked in for the cruise. That would set off bells and whistles.

We're cruising from Miami in December. Are we allowed to drop off our bags to the port earlier than check in time? Would be easier for us to do that, then go return the car rental and have them drop us back without bags.

Yes you can. Only you know what your check in time is. Don't drop them off while disembarkation is still in progress.

^^^^^THIS! Excellent point skrufy! I could see how easily bags could  be lost if comingled with disembarkation luggage!

Different port.........but in New Orleans we have dropped off our bags before disembarkation and many hours before check in time and never had a problem. Do not think bags coming off and going on would ever come close to each other. Different carts.
