I have been to Princess Cay a few times.  Getting into the ocean was somewhat difficult.  Entry into the water from beach was very, very rocky.  Is it the same or have they cleaned up the rocks and boulders?

Yes it's still very rocky..

Had an interesting sea day yesterday.  It was a little rocky, but the wind was something else.  Chairs were blowing around on the upper sun deck.  Sun didn't pop out until early afternoon,  so went and made a morning contribution in the casino.

Had lunch on the Lido, and then really enjoyed getting "fancy" with the family on "dress to impress" night.  While having portraits done Sox Fan Cruiser found us to say hi!

Dinner was just ok, and I'm not a picky eater.  A lot of that may have had to do with the fact that we didn't get there until 8:30, so a lot of our meat was overcooked.  Lesson learned, early bird eats medium rare!  Desserts were amazing however!

The Illusion and dance show with Chace and Kayleigh was campy, but fun.  Our family got chosen for one of their tricks.

When I got back to our stateroom I was sooo excited to find a little gift on my door!! A cruising duck!!  Thanks Mike and Paulia!  I think you had to cook up a little magic of your own to find our stateroom door hahaha.

Going to visit a couple of beaches on St. Thomas today and do some shopping, and eat like a local.

20211206_203438.jpgYou’re welcome!  We decided to get a little exercise walking the decks looking for your door decorations for a duck delivery. Turned out to be not much exercise as we’re just one deck above you. Thanks for starting this thread!      Mike and Paulia

One quick question, are all the cocktails at Good Spirits included in the Princess Plus price range?

As far as I can recall, yes.  My daughter mentioned Bellini's bar menu had more expensive beverages,  but I haven't visited it yet.

For some reason we are all sleepy today. The night life on the ship is subdued. Off to bed ourselves.

I'm with you on the exhaustion!!  Long port day!

Had a great visit to St. Thomas yesterday!  Ship docked at Havensight at 10 am with a 9:30 pm all aboard.  Got off, shopped a bit (lots of stores still closed that early), then headed back to ship to get ready for beach time.  We had decided on Lindquist Beach as it's our family name and it's listed as one of the best beaches on Island. There are no restaurants or vendors, but there are restrooms.  We had packed water and figured 3 hours away from cruise ship food wouldn't send us into a state of starvation. It's a 5.00 pp entry fee to park.

Asked for taxi and quoted 10.00 pp to head over to East End.  Waited about 15 minutes for taxi to fill, and had 14 people going to Secret Bay, Coki Beach, and ferry to St. John's. On the 25 minute drive over, the taxi driver said St. John's was a waste of port time, and told everyone they should stay at Secret Bay because amenities and Beach were the best.  I think this guy was getting kickbacks from them, because he somehow managed to convince every other person on the taxi to stay there.  He really tried to dissuade us from going to Lindquist Beach, and told us no cabs would be coming, and the collection booth person would have to call one for us.

Once we arrived and paid, the Beach was absolutely stunning. A small squall blew through while we were there, but it quickly cleared up, and was soon sunny again.  After a few hours, we decided to beach hop at the recommendation of some people staying on island to go over to Sapphire Beach.  We inquired at the pay booth about catching a taxi, and were told to just stand on side of road and flag one down.  🤔🤔

Less than a minute later we were hopping on.  4.00 pp and 5 minute ride.

Had some food and drinks and swam for a bit.  Great beach day for us.   Cabs waiting right outside and 10.00 pp back to ship... back onboard by 6.  Grabbed some pizza at Slice and got cleaned up.  We were excited to go see Buddy Fitzpatrick the comedian again, as we really enjoyed his show the first night.  There was only going to be 1 show at 8:45 pm.  Have to say, he was much better the first night, or I was just tired from a long day. Then headed out to Lido for the Caribbean Heat sailaway party with Xcite.  They have been excellent this whole trip, playing all over the ship.  They did not disappoint. Had a nightcap, then off to bed.  Early 8 am port stop at St. Maarten,  and plans are Mullet Bay and/ or Maho Beach to watch the planes coming in.  Had received a letter in cabin warning against visiting French side of Island due to unrest, but unconcerned as none of our plans take us over there.

And the Christmas decorations are starting to go up. The boughs are up on the railings and above the elevators. No trees yet but there are these large gift boxes around. Looks like they are replacing some of the trees. I’ll keep you all updated.

Yippee thanks for the Elf Action Report!

Ha!  I saw some of the staff moving wreaths when we reboarded, and thought how cool it would be to go see the decorations going up.  We're staying on the Lido deck, so in the last 2 days I've made it from my room to the pool, the bar, the buffet, Slice, the burger/taco bar...

Pretty sure you get the idea 🤣🤣

Thank you all for sharing your trip, I'll be on Sky next week!

Quick question, if anyone onboard knows - are the self sevice laundry areas operating?  The website says they might not be during initial return to service due to covid.  I need to start packing and am trying to figure out how much extra I have to take.

Enjoy the rest of your trip!!

They're working!  Had to use them just today. Token dispenser in there for both washer and dryer. 3.00 for wash, 3.00 for 45 minute dry cycle.  Brought own detergent, but dispenser in there for that as well.

Thank you for that. I would love to see a menu from Bellini's if you manage to get there.

Following ~ Bon Voyage!

We were on the last Sky sailing before the shutdown. Actually, the shutdown occurred while we were still on the ship. Hopefully some of the same crew are back, they were all a bit shell shocked by the news and very unsure (like the rest of us) what the future held for them.

We were on the Coral during the shutdown sailing around S. America.

Can you tell me if the Sky is doing the thing where you try all 11 drinks at Good Spirits and then get a T-shirt?  A friend on the Majestic said they aren't doing it right now.

Curious also.

Cheers

Hello-

My husband likes to sit at the bar and get to know the bartenders - are they allowing you to sit at the bar?

One other question - are they giving out Princess tumbler (drink cup) if you have the Princess Plus drink package? I didn't know if they let you use the cups with Covid?
