Hi all,

have some random questions for anyone who recently sailed on the getaway.

were there dueling pianos and comedy shows?

what kind of live music was there?  House band and reggae band?

were there regular poolside and atrium activities?

how was the mdr food and menus?

how full was the ship?

were there any shows aside from the broadway shows?

thanks!

We sailed on the Getaway in October out of Rome.

Yes, they did have the dueling pianos show "Howl at the Moon" and comedy shows.

They had live music throughout but I don't recall Reggae.

It was a port intensive cruise so I never saw activities on the pool deck.

MDR food was excellent and in the Manhattan Room they had live music, it was very nice. We ate most of our meals in the specialty restaurants.  Ocean Blue was superb! as were LeBistro and Cagney's.

Yes about shows other than the Broadway productions.  Mostly solo singers, comedian.

Because the Getaway is currently on it's Trans-Atlantic to Miami, the USA cruise season will not start for more than a week!  With that said, it's hard to say for certain what to expect on the upcoming Holiday/January/February cruises from Miami, &, for that matter, cruises from NYC when the Getaway repositions again.

Syd Norman's is a "show" dressed up as a band

The cast on our trip did rock based sets and a Fleetwood Mac Rumours album set.

There was a prom party night we missed.

Capacity of venue much reduced so tends to fill up, reports were on the previous trip people needed to lining up 45mins early.

Our trip was 30% capacity and the room filled but after doors opened  so no need to like up early.

$m was on and they did another show in the illusionarium Broadway unplugged which was good.

Howl was not that busy late evening very low numbers, decent trio worked hard to keep some atmosphere going.

Not seen burn the floor before outstanding.

Late Nov med too cold for outside.

On the getaway right now..howl at the moon, burn the floor, and million dollar quartet is scheduled (only 3 shows for entire trip.  A violinist and soprano singer. Several comedy acts, an illusionist and a couple more shoes..different bands around playing Beatles, different genres..just starting to warm out so seeing more outside bands being scheduled.  A new show junked..dinner and show you pay for..we didn’t see it.  We are in haven so haven’t eaten mer or buffet this cruise, but have heard mixed reviews..we have been too happy with what we have got so far (Shanghai’s, o Sheehan’s, bistro have all been excellent
